Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was small. There's no hair dryer in the room, which you can borrow one at the reception during the day, but with midnight arraval flight you won't have change to do it, as there's no staff at night.
Very good location for the guests who arrive at Keflavik Airport at midnight and have a rent car. Good shower water pressure.

Old building. Old windows. No elevator to some areas. Front door open to anyone, no code needed. Our central heating was on full blast (in summer), could not be put lower. TV remote did not work. Contacted via Whatsapp Bot. No real solution. Then sent an email. Very quickly a tennant came to aplogize and offer a new room. Very friendly and helpful. The new room was fine, although the curtains didn’t fit the windows nicely so a lot of sunlight in the room at night. Upon leaving the room momentarily, the lock code stopped working all of a sudden. Locked out. So a new code had to be generated. All in all clearly an ailing building, with some very lowbudget solutions. Clean rooms though, and friendly staff.

Difficult to get to without a vehicle . One bistro available in area on base so not really a place to plan on an evening out or any interesting spots to spend any time at. Good for an airport stopover before a flight as more reasonable than any hotels in area, but expensive for such a basic room.
Pleasantly surprised after reading negative reviews . Very courteous, friendly reception. Basic but clean comfortable room. Shuttle right on time for pick up to airport in the morning.

The bin in the toilet still jad trash from previous guests, someone forgot to clean. Room was quite big but the aisles between wall-bed-window was too small, not possible to pit there the whole foot.
Close to the airport so convenient for an early flight. Room was ok, relatively big.

No lift to carry luggage to upper floors. Building looks a bit grim from outside and satnav need to find it.
A very good location close to the airport. Excellent sized rooms with superb bathroom facilities. Comfortable beds, good towels and some toiletries. Kettle and fridge in room. Very quiet at night despite proximity to airport. No keys, but code for key pad. Free Wifi. Staff very helpful.

Carpet looked a bit tired
Proximity to the airport, especially for an early morning flight is great; much easier and convenient than having to drive from Reykjavik for a morning departure. Beds and bathroom were clean and comfortable. No frills hotel, but it matched the online description and was more than adequate for an overnight sleep. We didn't need to use the shuttle, but it seemed to be running regularly.

The room wasn't properly cleaned. We could see some stains on the sink in the bathroom, and the floor was a bit dusty.

The surroundings don’t look good at all and there are people sleeping in the corridors of the hotel, which is quite scary, specially if you are walking there alone. Really weird vibe. Won’t stay here again.

We come in at about 3:30h am, we got no code by email to enter our room before, reception was closed, on the desk 3 notes for persons who also had booked with room/ code to enter. The only person witch I could contact by whatsapp wasn't helpful. But we were able to help ourself!!!

The cup provided in the bathroom is dirty as I believe the cleaning isn't done properly, which is quite disappointing. Also the light leaks a lot in the room.
Perfect location if you need to catch a flight in early hours, the price is competitive comparing to other places around Keflavik. The double bed is a real comfy double bed instead of those fake ones which is combined by two single beds.
