Not enough bathrooms for all the people staying. There wasn't spare toilet paper and the next morning only one toilet out of 3 or 4 still had some toilet paper. As it's a self - check in premise, there was no one to ask. When I went looking for the two nice ladies responsible for cleaning, I couldn't find them.

The kitchen, dining room and living room are very comfortably and nicely decorated. Very well refurbished. There's pretty much everything one could possibly need. Free coffees and tees.

The cleaning inside was impeccable. The rooms and bathroom are very comfortable. What I more like is the plugs next to the bed and every bed, even the upper bunk beds, have a little table. Also it's very safe and every bed has a locker for luggage. When I arrived there wasn't any staff working so I can not judge.

Very narrow winding staircase up to second floor was a little awkward with luggage, and door opens right into the bed and hits it

The parking was far from the entrance but that could be because we got there fairly late. We requested a ground floor room not knowing the kitchen was up a spiral staircase. That would have been a challenge if we had been trying to cook.

The accommodation was easy to find. It had nice cooking facilities with more than one cooking station. It was a shared bathroom but we never had to wait. I liked having a sink in the room even though there was a shared bath. It was a basic room but it was quiet and comfortable.

The sound isolation is not that good, I can hear the person next room snoring.

The facilities are pretty nice generally. As it is shared bathrooms, I expected a busy bathroom not that well cleaned - but it came out surprisingly good with plenty of clean shower rooms and toilets. The room was cozy and nice. The price is quite good already in Iceland. Very convenient with self check-in.

It would be much easier to climb to the top of the bunk bed if there was some sort of a fence to hold onto while you climb the ladders cause there isn’t anything firm to grab.

Perfect room for 3 friends traveling, very basic room but comfortable beds and the hostel was silent at night. Good location for walking to restaurants etc.

Although we had a window opened all night (tiny window), the air in the room was heavy in the morning. That's the only thing, otherwise everything was great!

Easy check-in, free parking place, very calm area. Room was clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Lots of bathrooms on the floor, so there was no problem with using shared bathroom. Good wifi connection. Shared areas were clean and tidy. Very good choice for a night or two!

- a bit older and not as clean bath/shower than the capsule hotel in town - unfortunately a guy with smelly feet in my room :) - less central than the capsule hotel in town - nobody at the reception (but I also did not need anybody)

- hostel experience (compared to the capsule hotel in town which I did visit too) - friendly people in my room - price! - nice cooking and eating area, good kitchen

Excellent location near bonus, kronan and all the akureyri shops and restaurants. The room was neat and tidy and there was plenty of kitchen items, toilets and showers so we never had to wait. Highly recommend
