directions for check-in: the reception is in the centre (right in front of the kitchen and dinning area) of the building. self check-in available, find your name on the counter of the reception.

- right opposite to the supermarket. short walk to local restaurants and shops. - shared kitchen with everything you need for cooking, even for groups - complimentary tea and coffee; and light breakfast (cereals, muesli, milk and yoghurt) - private bathrooms in each room - sunny rooms - you do need to bring your own shampoo and body wash, which is fine - laundry is available if you are staying for more than 2 nights (Mar 2023) - relatively clean - great area to stay for 2 nights if possible. check in for proper rest after the long drive/site seeing from Vik; day trip/hiking/northern light seeking around Hofn; check out after a good night sleep before heading back to Vik or Reykjavík

Clean although noisy in the night from other guests in the common room as we were next door. Still a good stay apart from that

Spotlessly clean warm room. Underfloor heating in bathroom. We didn't expect breakfast but yoghurt, cerials and drinks were provided. Friendly staff very helpful with travel plans.

Breakfast was very simple - just regular milk, yoghurt, muesli and cornflakes.

Not a big name fancy hotel. but the room is up to “ Holiday Inn “ standard; big, clean and comfortable, hardly found such stay at such low price nowadays in Iceland

On bookong they say they offer toiletries but once we got there they told us they only do that in the summer, so there was only hand soap in the bathroom

The guesthouse was really great, perfectly located near a supermarket and the harbour, with also a nice spot if you walk along the harbour where you just see the sea and it was a great spot for polar lights. There is a community kitchen with sufficient appliances and the really great thing is there are hot beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) for free, as well as a small breakfast with cereal and yoghurt. Check in and check out was unproblematic as it was a self check in. Definitely would recommend this guesthouse!

Great location, very easy to find. Good communication throughout. The rooms were large, clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The staff were very friendly, coffee and cereal were provided in the morning which was a good addition. Parking anvailable outside, within easy walking distance of restaurants and supermarkets. Highly recommend.

Everything! great well equiped facilities, even a kitchen to cook, wash up dishes, dish washer etc. Comfortable beds and good heating. Good dining area with light breakfast available. Best guest house we’ve stayed at so far 😊
