Our room was a little small but it served the purpose.

Property consisted from little cute houses with view to the mountain. Thanks to big windows you could see icelands scenery from the bed. Bathroom Was very spacious and we had a tv in the room.

Only one pillow provided. Reception doesn’t open 24 hour. No way to checkout early morning. So we just left the key inside the room. So far so good.

The breakfast wasn’t included or discounted and was super expensive for what you got.

We stayed at other guest houses and rooms throughout the ring road. It was in a good location near the ocean and cliffs but nothing wowed us about this place. All the rooms are outdoors and spread out slightly but if you open the window you will see other guests in their rooms nearby. It was clean and bed was ok.

Angry Birds attacked me upon arrival. Soon I understood it was because they have their nesting sites on right on the hotel premises.

Great Location, right on the cliffs of Arnarstapi Village. Despite the weather being poor that weekend I stayed, its a formidable location.

The customer service in the restaurant was missing, especially when big groups of visitors are hosted for lunches, it was overcrowded. Too close to the highway.

While the family thought it was great, I was disappointed that these were little more than connexs. However, now my wife wants one, so I guess I'll be looking into how to purchase one!

The rooms were "like new," and the family enjoyed the facility. Of the eight hotels on this trip, this was the best location for spotting the auroras!

The check in system failed to communicate the key code and the person we called on the phone for 15 minutes could not solution our problem. Thankfully the check in instructions were also wrong about the reception being closed and we didn’t arrive too late so someone at the restaurant/reception could help us. Also if you want a decent coffee it’s not included in the breakfast which is totally a scam as it costs 17€! Don’t bother.

Arrival was infuriating. There was no one available to check us in. There was a phone number on the door but we did not have an available phone due to roaming issues in Iceland. It would have been helpful if there had been a placard explaining where the manager was located. It turned out a room with access info had been sent to me in the plethora of emails/messages received earlier. Some people don’t have data so this doesn’t always work for everyone. I only read the first paragraph of the message that said reception was available until 10pm and I’m sure I read the restaurant was open until 10pm. I hadn’t bothered to read on as I expected someone to be there on arrival. The restaurant was closed, we drove 19km for dinner. We had to annoy closed cafe owners over the road who told us where they thought the manager lived. He was polite and apologetic when we found him, but given previous reviews with people having similar complaints about access, this should already have been solved. Met a lovely lady in the morning who was opening the restaurant. All in all good stay once we got in. But arriving to a ghost town in winter without instructions on the door (more than a phone number) is inexcusable.

On the day of the check-in I got a message from the property saying the front desk was open until 10pm, and after that you had to do a self check-in process. To our surprise, we arrived there at 8pm and it was already closed. No worries, we proceeded to the room to do the self check-in (which involves opening a safe next to the door), only to find the key hanging there on the door. The restaurant was also closed, and since it’s a very small village, everything else was also closed.

Clean, large room, comfy beds. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Nice heating also. Big windows to let you enjoy the aurora (if you’re lucky enough). Excellent location in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, some attractions are within walking distance and others are a short drive away.

Hotel restaurant v expensive and closed at 6.30 No shops or anything nearby open after 6.30.
