I loved everything

This is an amazing spot—the staff is great, amazing food and drink. What’s best is that it is all done by the locals and so genuine. This is a must stay for any trip to Iceland.

Great location, easy to get in and out of town. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is well maintained - tidy and comfy rooms, and clean and organized shared areas (kitchen and bathrooms). In addition, the breakfast buffet offered plenty of choices and set us up for the day and more adventures in Iceland. :)

Spa area was closed once we arrived and you have to pay for using the baths separately. There is not a lot of things to do in the area once the puffins fly away at the beginning of August, so all in all it's a bit pricey stay. Finding a reception was a bit challenging.

Amazing breakfast with home baked bread made by Karolina from Poland :) The room was really clean, spacious and had a beautiful oceanfront view.

A little far off the beaten path, but also this is why we chose this area.

The property was on the water. We stayed in the guest house and this has a shared bathroom and kitchen area as well as common area. We arrived very late so did not have any time to lounge around these areas. There is a nice bar on site and they make their own beer and it was ver good.. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety of items. Would recommend staying here.

Room is very comfortable. Shared bathrooms and kitchen are nice and clean. Breakfast is excellent and a lot to choose from. We also booked a spa retreat with outside and inside hot tubs and saunas. We relaxed and slept like a babies. Totally recommend!

We arrived when the kitchen was closed, but they brought us tomato soup and fish stew (both dishes were delicious). Breakfast was nice. The place where we went to see the puffins in the morning is 6-7 minutes away by car

A wall heater to really dry out washed clothes or a dedicated tumbledryer machine would have made it perfect.

Everything! Restaurant was exceptional for food & service. The new hot pool & hot tub were the icing on the cake.

very nice resort. breakfast included was exellent. at night we cooked in a very nice spacious ktchen, only 7 mn drive from a colony of puffins there is a spa but we didn t use it.

They recently changed it so the hot tub was no longer included and you had to pay about $25 USD extra per person for access to a “spa” Some of the shared rooms have beautiful views of the ocean and some have just small skylights. We were in a skylight one.

The rooms below us were quite noisy with heavy door banging which interrupted rests.

We loved the deluxe modern room where we could bird from the comfort of our bed! (Harlequin ducks on the rocks below us). Enjoyed the privacy and accessibility to restaurant and spa. Perfect place to stay when visiting the puffin colony at Hafnarholmi marina.

3 shared single-user bathrooms for the 8-10 rooms where we had booked, plan ahead.

The house and the rooms are clean and tidy. The view from the kitchen is really nice ! The reception is very friendly.

There seemed to be a gentleman living in the pool area perhaps?? Also, some of the guests used there hands to get food rather than wait for the serving utensils to get put out. That was unacceptable. One gentleman scratched his nose and then immediately picked up some cheese off of the serving dish. I could not eat from the plates they touched.

The property as beautiful and having the pool was great for my grandson. Super views and nice room. Staff was super nice.

The room with the rooftop side is as expected in the pictures but if never lived in one, be prepared to hit your head a lot since most of your stuff is going to be probably on that side 😅 The spa and pools arent of the hotel, even that it shows in the pictures and is at additional 4000 isk per person. Would be nice to have a discount for hotel staying guests.

The view of the sea from the kitchen and the bathroom. Notice theres couple of them and only one with the seaview - use this one for enhanced experience! :)) The staff were nice and the breakfast very good. Delicious scrambled eggs, home made breads and jams. Amazing Christmas cookies! The roofwindow lets a lot of light to enter the room which i loved. 10min drive from here are puffin colony and most puffins we ever saw. Really is a must visit if you stay here.
