Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyI stayed at the hotel for 1 week and the breakfast was the same, no change of the dishes. Also I had the breakfast included in my booking, but some basic drink as espresso or capuccino was extra charge, something that is really impossible to thinks in a 4 stars hotel. There are no advise on the booking. premise: i was at the hotel during christmas week and i asked to have dinner on the 24th and 25th. i was denied the possibility because i was told that everything was booked and to look for another restaurant. now i can't believe that there was no room on those days. in fact i checked on the 24th and 25th and i noticed that there was room. now as a guest in my opinion i should have had the possibility to choose and have dinner in the restaurant. Finally early close of the kitchen.
Excellent position for the trip outside Reikyavik.

United StatesThe shower I did not like the shower and it was dangerous. There is no need for any hotel charging what they charge to have a shower that is impossible to get into and also impossible to operate the tiny button that controlled the water was extremely hard to push. When I asked for help with it, the woman who was at least 40 years younger than I was not able to push it in either.
I liked the location, I liked the desk. Staff were wonderful.

United KingdomNo sun or thermal blocking curtains. In the land of midnight sun, you would expect this to be a default option. We were given alternative rooms to choose from but they weren’t much better. For the rate we paid, we were expecting to be able to sleep a bit more in the morning…breakfast was also limited in terms of what was on offer and we were very surprised to discover that espressos and capuccinos were not free (we paid about 12 eur for 1 espresso and 1 cappuccino which is overly expensive even for Iceland..).
Great location. Helpful staff.

United KingdomThe room was already expensive at £330 per night. We arrived on an early flight and were at the hotel at 11.20am. My room was ready but I had to pay 50Euros as an early access fee to use it, even though it was obvioiusly available and not being used. That felt very money-grabbing. The hotel is on top of a very, very loud bar which plays music until at least midnight. Luckily I was on the 5th floor so only could hear the drum beat faintly. I feel very sorry for anyone who was on the lower floors (perhaps they have very good sound-proofing for those rooms).
One of the most centrally located hotels in town, in the same square as the Icelandic parliament ('alpingi'). Helpful staff, good sized-room ('business single') with excellent shower and cleaned to a high standard.

BermudaThere was no storage in the room at all so could not unpack. We were guilted into not having our room cleaned daily. It was unpleasant to come back to wet towels and an unmade bed. Cost should have we been lowered due to lack of service for 4 days. Breakfast selection was good but the eggs and bacon were stone cold every single day.
The location was great. Staff were helpful. Quiet room.

United StatesThe price was very expensive, yet breakfast was not included. Got in late, was my birthday. Except for the expensive mini bar. Nothing was available. The only thing that was good was the front desk staff. Otherwise, I would not recommend an overpriced hotel to anyone.

United KingdomLocation a doubled-edge sword as music could clearly be heard from a nearby club until 3am Couldn't get air-con to respond to reset Was woken 3 times on check-out morning by housekeeping entering the room whilst I was in bed. It seems the manager had incorrectly entered into the system that I had checked out early. Even so, it doesn't explain why the first two people didn't go to the manager to rectify the problem, it took a call from me to reception after the third person entered to fix it
Decent location, nice Art Dec-style touches, highly competent and pleasant staff on reception

United Kingdomthere was a private party there on the Friday night which was so loud my room was shaking. I couldn’t think about going to sleep until this stopped around 11.30pm then he staff were moving tables and chairs around which created more noise. when your paying this type of money for a hotel you don’t expect them to be throwing party’s. Your either a classy hotel or a night club

United Kingdomwe had a booking for a deluxe room as we had large quantities of luggage. the room we were given - 518 - was very small due to it’s position in the corridor. Tiny windows as it was top floor, not at all like the appearances shown online. Unable to turn off heating. I sent an email about the room size to clarify but no one replied. We had tours booked so didn’t have time to wait in the queue at reception. I’m sure other rooms are better than this, however this particular room was a disappointment.

United StatesWe expect a pool and hot tub to be available in the morning and/or evening. Their hours are from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, which doesn’t allow for either. Guests, especially in this city, will generally be out enjoying activities and meals and want to come back to the hotel in the evening to use the spa area. Of all the hotels we stayed in, this was the only one with a pool or hot tub that wasn’t available at night. In Iceland it’s common to swim/soak after a long day. Those facilities were a main reason we’d chosen this property.
