Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe location was not really in the center so we had to take the car for our diner. Parking wasn't really clear where this was, so we just parked at random.
We booked this hotel for just our last night in Iceland, for which is was totally fine. The self check-in worked perfectly and the breakfast was really good, just a little bit limited.

United KingdomWe didnt like the no staff presence of the hotel. We were given the wrong code to enter the hotel at first and so we were stood in the rain for five minutes trying to get in, luckily the staff do answer the phone quickly and gave us the correct code which we were grateful for. Also, the curtains don’t fully cover the windows so it felt a little exposed at times getting changed. The location is about a half an hour walk to town and the major bus stop which was a little far when you have early starts or late finishes but is doable.
The breakfast was really nice and our room was comfortable and a decent size. We liked the free coffee available. The room and hotel were clean and they provided shampoo and conditioner etc.

United KingdomUnfortunately we didn't get to stay here in the end because of an unknown issue. However, the staff arranged another hotel for us practically next door and were great in quick responses to questions and were really helpful. Therefore I can't comment on the hotel itself so the review won't tell the whole picture.

NetherlandsThe room and the bedroom are a bit too dark. The breakfast is a bit simple and repetitive.
The check-in/check-out process was very easy, the location was very good. The room was very clean, and the heating system worked very well. The parking is free and always seems to have a free spot in front of the hotel.

SloveniaWe received 5 messages before we checked inn, all of them with very similar information. It could be in only one message. We were also disturbed by the noise coming from the corridor through the poorly insulated doors and walls early in the morning. But we were most disappointed with the breakfast, as almost everything ran out already at 9.
We liked the location. It was in a walking distance to city center and had a parking. We also like the bathroom, very comfortable bed, coffee and tea machine in the room and fast internet connection. There is also a nice restaurant nearby.

BelgiumThey claim daily house keeping on request. We requested it twice but never happend. Breakfast was good depending on who did it. The majority of the time, you had the lady that takes her job serious and it must ben said that the breakfast was good. However, on two out of our seven days, we got the other one who prefers her phone. On those days, expect that the breakfast table runs out of food and cutlery quickly without being refilled. To give an indication of our first day, we were eating dry bread on a napkin.
Easy to park in the street for free. Walking distance from the city centre. We got the room with personal bathroom which was very clean.

United KingdomRoom so small couldn't walk around the bed to the other side. Very little storage space. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together, which is fine but left the single duvets rather than putting on a Double.
Free car parking with hotel situated close to centre. Free coffee and biscuits available all day.

United StatesIt felt like a hostel with private rooms. I hesitate to advertise this as a hotel. There is no staff on site, and you enter the building with a code and get your own key out of a lock box. The walls are thin, the rooms are small and SUPER basic.

SwitzerlandBunk beds on the family room were very fragile. So much so that one of us slept on the bottom bed and the other on a mattress on the floor. The bunk beds were missing 2-3 screws and moved very much when on top. The door of the bathroom got stuck multiple times.
Location was central, close to the centre of Reykjavik. Room was spacey and the double bed looked comfortable. Self check-in was very fast, and without a hassle. Coffee machines available free of charge were a nice touch!
