We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only thing that let this place down is the staff (hence 9* not 10*). We were greeted by a man who acted as if we were checking into a $10 a night hostel. There was zero enthusiasm from him and no special treatment. Considering the price and how unique this place is, I would expect to be greeted with a smile and a nice “welcome to the bubble hotel!”. It was simply “here is your bubble and off you go”. There isn’t much to really be told but manners, enthusiasm and some hospitality training would go a long way.
Wow this place is amazing! A true bucket list hotel and definitely lived up to expectations. We were lucky that we had a calm and clear night so we could see the stars (no northern lights but still amazing). The bubble itself was perfect - so clean and warm. Electric blankets were fab. The area is very quiet and although you can sometimes see another bubbles light in the distance, it still feels very private. The main service house facilities are good too - lovely shower and coffee machine for the morning.

JapanThe location was dark and in some very pretty trees, but I think I would have preferred their other location as the trees blocked some view of the sky. They did offer more privacy than other bubbles might have, so that might be preferable to some visitors.

United StatesThe other guest were rude. Only one table in community room and one couple was their almost whole time with stuff in two chairs and themselves in other two. The parking was bad based on one guest taking 2 spots. My husband had to crawl in back hatch to get in and then back in road so I could get in.
The bed and bubble was warm and comfortable. Very welcoming and knowledgeable by staff.

The staff on site was very friendly and helpful. She booked us a dinner reservation, took us to our bubble. Had the mattress heated for us. So welcoming.

ItalyThe bathroom is not inside the room (not even a toilet...) so if you have to use it during the night you must go to the reception, so you have to open the bubble (being careful not to let the air out), then walk in the middle of the night (a bit scary to be honest) and come back to reopen the two zip carefully so that the air stays inside the bubble. For me it is not the best experience, consider it if you have to go twice per night. The rug was not very clean (ok, we are in the nature, but still the rug was not clean, hair on it...). Last thing to consider is that the air is inflated inside the bubble to keep it up, this is peculiar and if you have problem breathing in this specific conditions you should be aware of it. And finally, when you speak inside the bubble consider that you may have echoes all around, not a big problem but something you need to deal with.
The location is what makes the difference when talking about the Bubbles. You are in the open, the bubble is transparent, the wood is all around you. It is very unique and special. you can experience and breath nature all around you. There are other bubbles but in our case there was no other guest around. This was good because we did not have to share the bathroom with others, but still a bit strange to be totally alone in the wood...

United StatesThe downside is that there is a draft in the capsule. I lived there on August 20, but I had to sleep in a hat, the draft was so strong on my head.

Singapore- 2 bathrooms for 9 rooms (18 people) with just shower gel and no shampoo. The water was very sulphury - Rooms are VERY bare (just the bed) - Our bubble wasn’t very clean (so much hair on our bed) Not in the property’s control - it rained so much and there were strong winds, which made it very hard to sleep
- Unique experience - Bubbles were private and secluded one from the other - Staff was nice

United KingdomElectricity points both side of the bed would be good. My side had all the electric mattresses plugged in so all free plugs were the other side of the bed.
This is an amazing experience. Looking out of a cosy bubble to the trees and the northern lights. Very secluded. The bubble was cosy and the shower cabin had a great mini kitchen with coffee machine and a selection of hot drinks and milk. The shower facilities were super clean. The bubbles were warm and the heated mattress was great. The bedding was good too. Very glad we stayed here. We'll never forget it.

United StatesCost effectiveness and the bathroom facilities were not very private. Its rough to have a shared bathroom/kitchen and dining area like a hostel but charge 400 USD/night.
This is really just a bubble! Not much else. So in towns we were able to rent a service apt or NICE hotel room for like 100 USD less/night. However, we wanted to do a bubble and this was a bubble.

SlovakiaI didn't like that people didn't respect privacy.. a some man came to us with a light and looked inside our bubble... my husband asked him what he wants, and then the man left and drunken English women were noisy at night in next bubble it would be better if the bubbles were further apart
Wow what an experience! This was my dream and thank you it was perfect. The bubble was super cozy with very comfortable bed. It was colder at night and early in the morning, but we were warm in our pajamas plus a heated bed mat at the beginning there is a small house with a kitchen, fridge, toilet, shower-hair dryer, towels, shower gel and shampoo, for free thee and coffee A minimarket and a tasty restaurant Mika are 5 minutes away by car

United KingdomHaving to leave!
A magical experience of sleeping under the stars and viewing the Northern Lights from our beds. It was -8 deg C overnight but with sensible clothing (we slept in thermals) and with the electric heated underblankets we were lovely and warm for what was an unforgettable experience!

United StatesI didnt enjoy how late check in was. I thought it was very expensive basically just to camp out and it was very cold at night. Bubbles could benefit tremendously from an additional space heater.
I throughly enjoyed watching the stars.

United StatesWe were the only ones there. Thought it would be a communal feeling but it was a bit desolate and sad. Sky was too light even in April - despite crystal clear skies couldn’t see northern lights or stars. Not their fault but very disappointed!
Beautiful scenery - trees lovely! Leina was an awesome host - very kind, informative and open.

United KingdomShower facilities were quite dirty and the water itself smelled awful, so left feeling unclean after washing. The pod itself is quite underwhelming, the bed was two mattresses put together so they sagged considerably in the middle. The pod could have been warmer, it was quite cold in the morning. The kitchen was very messy, with drawers containing rubbish. Check in was also convoluted, no one was in the outer house when we arrived, meaning we had find the pod ourself. This wouldn’t be an issue but they claim to be strict about the check in time, which I can’t see why if no one is there during the allocated time.
Bubble was good, albeit slightly cold. The view of the stars was great, as was the location.

MexicoFirst, it was freezing cold. Not even with an electric blanket and 3 duvets could we sleep. We woke up super early because of the cold and decided to go right away and avoid any more suffering. There are only 3 toilets working and 2 showers. The complimentary coffee was extra small, literally in an espresso cup so no point in trying to warm up with that. It is way too expensive for what you get. You even hace to check in until 5 pm and leave before 10 am. Privacy is lacking, since the trees are bare in winter (march)anyone passing through can see you sleep.
The bubbles as such are very different from your normal hotel, so that was cool. The place is nice because it has trees.

IrelandWe’d originally booked hrosshagi but due to the heating breaking in a bubble it was changed to olvisholt. This wasn’t too much of an issue but as we were then arriving in the dark it was hard to find our bubble as there was no lighting and vague instructions, we had a head light but I think the signs should be lit up for directions. We also then had no view as the trees have grown up too much around the bubble making it near impossible to see the northern lights if they were to appear. All in all for the price we paid, we were very underwhelmed.
The shower facility was excellent and the bubbles were warm. The electric blanket and cosy beds made for a good nights sleep
