Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It was perfect stay for us on our last day in Iceland as we had an early flight and so close to the airport. Really well equipped kitchen, modern and fresh studio apartment .

Location is sleepy but close to the water, airport, Blue Lagoon and volcano. ;)
Jolanta is such a welcoming and accommodating host! She showed us around the cozy space and got the hot tub warmed up for us. The kitchen and bathroom is well-stocked that we almost didn’t have to get much at the grocery store for meals. It was the perfect place to relax after the Ring Road. A bit snug with three friends but we were fine.

Its very close to the airport and the volcano which was perfect for us. If you want to travel to other places in Iceland it might be a bit far. Surely depending on what you want to do. But thats a very high level "complaint". Its just a very lovely place.
Very very clean, amazing kitchen. We only stayed 2 Nights but this is def. A place where you can stay longer. Jolanta ist a very nice and cute Person, living next door in case you need anything. The hotpot is amazing especially after a long hiking day.

Everything was great. I can't think of a thing I would change.
Check in was easy. The host met us on arrival and gave us a quick overview of the property. It has easy access to the airport for our morning flight out of KEF. Hot tub was hot and ready for use.

Nothing, it was perfect!
Just lovely, all clean and smart, chocolate on pillows, the owner met me and told me to ask for anything I needed and lent me the most powerful vacuum cleaner I have ever used which was fab. Loads of tea and coffee supplied, well equipped kitchen, bathroom very smart and the hot tub was wonderful after trekking up a mountain to see the volcano. Super close to Keflavik for our departure next day. Would fully recommend.

Exceptionally well maintained house so close to the airport ! It had everything one would ever need for a short stay with a fully stocked kitchen and the best was the host Jolanta, who was amazing. She came in to check on us once we settled, explained everything and even set the hot tub for us in case we needed it (which we did !).

Great location for an early flight, 10 min drive from the airport. Very comfortable for us, a family of 5, and clean. Bonus that the hot tub was filled and ready for us upon arrival. friendly host. Beautiful views from the back. Had everything we needed plus some extra touches. would recommend!

The fully stocked kitchen with noodles, pasta , soup. We landed at 1am in Iceland and were very hungry. As all restaurants in the airport were closed, we were very happy that the kitchen had few items that we could eat at 2am :)

We loved the hospitality of our host Jolanta. She was made our stay very comfortable. The place is very clean. One of the cleanest I have stayed so far. The kitchen is well stock and we were able to whipped up a very good meal. Location is near to airport which is very convenient for our next day early morning flight home..

Everything was great
We loved our stay at the apartment, it was so cozy and warm. The hot tub was amazing, the kitchen was fully equipped - the host keeps all left over groceries there, so you could use some pasta, sauces, spices, etc. The bathroom was also stocked with tampons, hair spray and left over cosmetics. Thank you to Jolanta for a warm welcome!
