Nothing, everything was super. Only tip I would add is if you are needing gluten free break at breakfast make sure to order it as soon as you arrive, we waited almost half an hour for ours at breakfast, but the waitress was so incredibly lovely about it and make up a 'to go' sandwich as we had to run to make it for one of our excursions.

We loved everything. We spent our honeymoon here in Iceland and stayed at the Konsulate for a couple of days either side of an 8 day ring road trip and it was the perfect bookends for our trip. We got a little gift on arrival as it was our honeymoon. Staff were super helpful and even though there was a mix up of rooms for our second half of the journey we ended up with a great room again. The bed was so comfortable, one of the most comfortable hotel rooms we have ever stayed in, no issues at all with noise, and as a travelling Coeliac the gluten free options were amazing. The rooms we stayed in were perfect size and loved all the little extras in the room. Thank you for an incredible stay.

My husband got into a scooter accident on the last day. He had just returned from the emergency room on the morning we were scheduled to check out. I asked the front desk if we could stay for another day, because he could barely move. The front desk told me that all the rooms were sold out. However, when I checked online on booking.com, there was one room left, so I booked it. Perhaps this is how the system is set up these days, but it feels rather personal when you're refused by the front desk in person, only to find availability on a booking site.

The breakfast was very good, except one of the days, the gentleman manning the breakfast area told me by mistake that it would close in 10 more minutes when in fact there was still one hour and 10 min. However, he was very attentive in all other matters so I cannot fault him for it.

Be warned- there is no air conditioning at this property (or likely any others in Reykjavík). Coming from the US we had no idea. This was our only complaint, however the hotel staff were still extremely accommodating and gave us fans to use during our stay.

Breakfast wasn't included and a little pricy. It's in a pretty loud area but once you shut the windows you don't hear anything.

The room and hotel is beautiful! Super comfy bed and within walking distance to a lot.

-Would be good to have a full length mirror in the room as the only mirror available is in the bathroom, so if someone is in there you then don’t have another one to use. -The room was really hot and we couldn’t get the air conditioning to work to cool it down. The bathroom was especially warm and we discovered the heat was coming from the mirror somehow and it was impossible to make it cooler. -Some hooks to hang coats in the room would be useful. -the tv was really temperamental and didn’t always work + most of the channels didn’t work. -would be good to have the hotel facilities in a pack and not just accessible on the TV.

No restaurant for dinner. The reception staff on arrival was very cold, unhelpful, left us waiting. This was not a good introduction to our stay. It was difficult to find as no big sign out the front.

This is a lovely boutique hotel, well located, lovely rooms, nice staff and a good breakfast. The staff are very accommodating and the bar area is very comfortable for a drink and a little relaxation at the end of a day.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, especially Nevin. She went out of her way to make sure all are reservations for taxi's were accurate. The hotel was in an area that was accessible to everything. Walking around Reykjavik was easy.
