It was a beautiful private valley. Easy to take a hike in. Hot tub and sauna outside with the views of the mountains.

We had an incredible time in Dalasetur. We had decided to stay for 13 nights in a row because everything looked so nice on the internet. We didn't regret it as it was even more beautiful in reality. The cabins are very cosy, lovingly furnished (but without a closet), and the soft sound of the stream behind the house and the view towards the nearby fjord make the stay a totally relaxing experience. After expeditions in the vicinity, you can enjoy the small sauna with a warm outdoor shower or hot pot adjacent to the cabins. There is another hot pot at the river side, where you can sit in the warm water while watching the wild stream and the surrounding green mountains with patches of snow on their tops. Alternatively, it is worth switching between the hot pot and the creek of melted ice water - you will feel like a new person! And don't worry if you lose something in the torrential stream - it will reappear a few kilometers further on in the fjord at Hofsós. I involuntarily tried it with my left flip-flop - it worked! When the weather is bad, or if you want a day off activities, you can watch films or series for free via Netflix or Disney. This place has a special power, which continues working after leaving. The hosts, Daniel and Stefan, are very friendly and helpful, always willing to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Stefan's cakes and other pastries served at the nearby Dala Kaffi are delicious, as are Daniel’s soups. Daniel is also an excellent disc golf player - try him, it's fun! As is Yogi, the dog-manager (-: All in all, Dalasetur’s slogan "Come as a guest, leave as a friend" proved true for us, and it certainly won't be our last stay in Dalasetur! Katja & Daniel

It is an awesome and cozy place, beautifully arranged by the friendly hosts. The guesthouse, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, gives the impression of being immersed in Icelandic nature, even while having breakfast inside.

Amazing , the lay out is perfect, incredibly comfortable and cosy . The bedding is top quality and the beds really comfortable. We stayed after Dalasetur 2 more places that were more expensive yet not anywhere as comfortable and well planned out as Dalasetur. The hosts were lovely guys incredibly helpful and kind . There’s so much to do in that area you need at least a few days to stay there . The large hot tub by the river is an amazing experience . We have already booked for a week for next year . It’s a mind blowing destination of beauty and comfort don’t miss out on staying here

The duvet/quilt is a bit too warm at night even we switch off the heater.

The host is very helpful and gives us clear description on how to reach the property, though the route on Google map is not correct. I would stay longer if I know there's such a nice view and great hot tub near the river. Look forward to staying in the same place again and hope we would see new changes over time.

Just wow! Someone really thought of everything when designing and equipping these cabins. Clean, modern, comfortable, practical, cozy in a great location and the hotpot by the river was grande.

It was a bit confusing to get to here, but turned out the location was great. It's literally surroinded by the mountain. I got the chance to see the aurora staying overnight. The house was soooo clean and comfortable. TV(netflix as well), washing machine and dishwasher were equipped. Fridge was also spacious enough to stock a lot of food. Great mountain view from the house!

The owners did not bother to clear the road from snow upon my arrival. My 4x4 almost got stuck. There was so much snow on the road that I could hear it damaging the bottom of my car. When I brought it up to the owners, they told me they didn’t properly clear the road because life is not perfect. Then they told me that they were not planning to clear the snow at all during my entire stay, and if I was not fine with it, then I should go somewhere else. But the worst part was yet to come. There was an intruder coming up to the house each night and making noise. In the morning I found fresh footsteps in the snow right next to my bedroom wall, but the owners disregarded it. So one night I stayed awake just to investigate this, and at 5AM I heard and felt strong physical impact, like someone hitting the walls around my bedroom multiple times. It finally stopped only after reporting it to booking.com.

We have no complaints

It is secluded and the views are gorgeous.. we wanted to stay for days but sadly had to get back on the road. The hosts have thought about everything with a focus on comfort.

It’s a bit far from the main road and there were flies in the cabin.

The views, the hot tub, the facilities provided for are very-well thought of and it’s very clean. The outside of the cabin is also very clean and well-maintained with easy parking for us.
