    Nothing, keep the good job

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Eric the Red Guesthouse! Everything was better than expected- comfortable beds, super clean bathroom, common areas with a touch… we would definitely book again, if in the area.

Really what’s not to like? I was so impressed with this place! Super easy check in, amazingly decorated room and all the info etc that you need dotted around. Kitchen was incredible, all you need! Huge dining area- we thought how perfect it’d be for a big family gathering. Quiet room and comfy bed too, I’ll be back for sure :)

Very clean, comfortable and homely. Large really well equipped kitchen with large fridge and "extras" like salt, cooking oil, sauces etc. Large dining room. Very quiet and a great location, both for town and BSI Bus terminal.

No noise isolation between rooms and from the hallway. One shower for the whole house, which was taken frequently.

Beautiful old home in downtown Reykjavik right around the corner from the church. It was furnished with nice old furniture. I thought it was a great value, I even got a private bathroom! Very cozy, quiet and clean with a great shared kitchen and dining room.

Spent one night at this property. We showed up late in the night, but they had an easy self-check in process. Room was simple and had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and warm. Location was great for getting to see Reykjavik the next morning, starting with Hallgrimskirkja. No complaints!

It’s an older building so there are only stairs to get to the rooms.

The guesthouse is managed by two brothers who take excellent care of the facility. The property is in an excellent position, very close to bus stop #8. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is very pretty. The room was basic but perfectly good for a couple of nights.

The location was superb. Just 2 minutes walk from the church which is also the collection point for most tours. It is bus stop 8. The main bus terminal is around a 10 minute walk but we had taken Fly Bus from the airport which provided a feeder bus to stop number 8. And the location of this guesthouse is close to the main attractions of Reykjavik. Stay was comfortable. For breakfast there was a range of cereals and coffee. The kitchen has an oven, coffee machine, electric kettle, dish washer which we found very useful.

Amazing location, could walk everywhere. I was warmly welcomed and arrived to leave my luggage early, but my room was ready, so they let me go straight in. Great, well equipped kitchen and cute dining room to sit in. My room was clean, spacious, and homely. I will definitely come back, thank you!

We loved our stay! These comments are not " dislikes" at all... Rooms 11 & 12 (we were in 12)are not yet renovated and open directly into the lobby at the front door and entrance to the kitchen, so a little noisier, I suggest asking for a room on the renovated lower level if one is available. .

Location, clean, super friendly staff ( family owned and operated), affordable by Iceland standards!
