Very familiar and comfortable guesthouse, with good facilities (2 well equipped kitchens, and 2 bathrooms), and good rooms. We stayed in the attic and it was lovely, we felt so cozy! Friendly and quiet guests. Staff is super nice, and very responsive. They sell local teas and local handmade clothes!

There's only one shower for at least 6 shared bedrooms so it depends on when you're trying to take a shower. You may have to get in line.

We arrived at the property just before 10 and the owner was still there to greet us before heading to bed. We got to talk with her about the place and it was amazing to find out that this place was built in the early 1920 from her grandparents. The location is a way from the main road so it's super quiet.

The roped off are for parking was a little hard to get around but nothing that would stop me from coming back.

We drove in during the night and had a spectacular view of the northern lights. The staff was gracious and able to help us even despite our late arrival. Once we woke up we realized what a gorgeous view we had of the mountains and even had a suprise waterfall sighting on the way out. Everything was clean and we slept verity well the beds were very comfortable.

I have to agree with people saying the bathroom situation isn't ideal. I had to wait each time I had to use to toilet and didn't take a shower at all because the only bathroom with a shower was always occupied. The doors/walls were also very thin and I had to use earplugs (provided by the guesthouse for a reason) because our room was right next to the common room.

I really loved he location of the guesthouse. The road there is a bit adventurous for someone who isn't used to unpaved Icelandic roads and I can imagine getting there when the road is covered in snow or ice can be a bit tricky, but we didn't have that problem. With no major road closeby the surrounding nature is very peaceful and quiet.

Only 1 bathroom and 1wc for 6 guest rooms. No power points in the bedroom unless you unplug the bedside light. Room smelled of tobacco but this is a reflection of the previous guest not the owners.

Everything was like in the photos, except the fact that its not very soundproof. There should be more toilets/showers for so many apartments. We had to wait an hour to take a shower.

I guess they cannot do anything about it, but if you want to rest and your room is next to the reception-main entrance and in front of the bathroom and kitchen, it's not going to happen before every other guest go to sleep.

The only downside were very thin walls in the rooms which meant that we heard every movement of our neighboring room. But the staff were prepared and the earplugs were provided so we made good use of them 😂.

The location is stunning, rooms were nice and clean, there were multiple kitchens which were all stocked. Staff was very nice and present untill 2300 so we could ask about anything. The campsite was massive for those who wanted to camp.

There is only one shower and it’s in the front of the building Also driving up the gravel road to get there was almost more adventurous than my car could take Pretty isolated which is beautiful but make sure to bring food

The shower: right next to the reception which makes it very noisy and uncomfortable. You can hear everything from the bathroom and from the reception. The kitchen: equipments an space was fine but some cleaning good be done. The bins were full and the cleaned dishes were still on the counter. Not very welcoming. It's a small effort for either the guests or the staff to put them back in plave. Especially while the staff didn't seem to be very busy (on their phone in the dining room). I other guesthouses this was much better organised.

Beautiful area and surroundings. Room was quite spacious. Be aware that it is noisy: they give earplugs so it was fine.

There is only one shower for the whole house (~20ppl)

It was clean and very comfortable. Around it it is very dark and we could see northern lights here. The host was really nice and flexible reacted to us reaching late.

Our room is at the second floor and the access with bulky baggage is not easy. The top of our room is not flat and space is limited.
