Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaWow, oh boy, staying at this place was something to tell stories about :) It's in a tiny tiny village of a few houses, and definitely off the beaten path. We arrived there very late in the evening during ominous weather when the dusk and the fog made the volcanic cones on either side of the dirt road that leads into town look like looming monsters from beyond the edge of Winterfell. We were relieved to see the tiny lights appearing in the distance, it was like finding a safe haven in the middle of an alien world. As soon as we opened the door to the restaurant, a goat ran inside past us to shelter from the cold and the wind, and stubbornly refused to be pushed back out. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly and we instantly felt welcome. We had dinner at the restaurant, as recommended by other reviewers, and I can confirm that it was absolutely delicious. The next morning, one of the employees helped us fill our tank at the local gas station which is "camouflaged" inside a traditional turf house. The room itself was comfortable, quiet, clean, and most importantly warm, as we were chilled to the bone by that point -- but the main reason I'd recommend this place is for the "real Iceland" experience of being in a small town off the main tourist drag.

AustriaThe village is in the middle of nowhere and that gives it that extra spark. It's cute and has great energy. There you can find two dogs, a goat that plays foodbal, two little foxes and some horses. The place is beautiful, clean and in the middle of the perfect nature sight. I would come back definatelly!

FranceNot sure if the place was made a long time ago or whatever, but you had to make noise to close and open your room doors (not good enough to explain this in words) The water pressure was not strong enough when you wash your hair (I know this because I have long hair right below my shoulder). This makes you spend long time to use bathroom and make other people wait (important since it's shared bathroom).
The place was clean, worm and quiet with shared living room with couch and shared kitchen with all suppliers you need. Since place is just nowhere in the middle, like most of other guesthouse those are not in the city centers, everywhere you put your eyes makes magnificent scenery.

United Arab EmiratesThis stay just impressed us! Starting from the traditional decor of the building, warm and cozy rooms inside the hotel, little animals around (we saw arctic rabbits next to our room) up to the most unique petrol station across the road! We would definitely recommend this place. (however, it may seem that it's quite far from the main road - we didn't regret doing extra miles for the experience we got here)

PolandThe best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Iceland. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much. Beautiful atmosphere inside and outside. Room was clean and had a lot of comfort items to make you feel at home. the vegan dinner was a cherry on too! Thank you! Will recommend!

AustraliaWe wanted to stay in a turf house and this place kept coming up in the research. Nice farm, a little out of the way but worth the minimal effort it took to divert off the Ring Road. Building itself was rustic but very good. Food at the restaurant was good as well.

United KingdomThat we didn’t stay longer. That’s all
We stayed in the Husfoll room in the grey roofed house. It was very nicely furnished, decorated and exceptionally well stocked kitchen with two heated floor bathrooms. Loved the breakfast and evening food. Lovely authentic evening meals. Seeing arctic foxes and a big chonky, friendly farm Labrador was a bonus. Sensational sunset views.

IsraelThe room was dark! there were many lamps but even when they all were on, the room was too dark. I had to go to the toilet to read - it was the only place with reasonable light. The location is 7 km off the road, but you get a great view for it. The price was a bit high, and we didn't have the option not to take breakfast.
The hotel is very beautiful and located near a sweet stream. The view is breath taking. There's a nice lobby to sit it, and also a near by pub (or coffee house). The design is contemporary, yet very homy and soothing.

AustriaUnfortunately the shower was a bit damaged and it was hard to turn it on and off (warm water was working properly) which they couldn’t fix right away (which is logical because it may take some time)
Room was very nice and cosy (felt like in an alpine resort), staff was very friendly and helpful; there were baby foxes (arctic fox) which the owner of the property was taking care of (not in a cage, always free to come and go)

United StatesWasn’t expecting the tour buses! Also, watch out for ticks on the animals — we unknowingly left with many in our clothes.
Interesting location of the beaten path, great restaurant, cute animals, wide open space. We arrived on the wrong road (gravel road from the East) but it was a spectacular drive.
