Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyIt was a wonderful experience! The staff was very nice and kind. The location is one on the best on the island and the pod is very warm and cozy. If you're lucky you can even see the northern lights. Highly reccomended! I hope to get back soon. Thanks for everything!

GermanyWe came in late around 9pm and were lucky that we saw the northern lights on our night there! It provides three hot tubs which are open until 11pm, all with different temperatures and water. Kitchen and toilet are public for everyone to use. We did not see private shower cabins, though, which was a bit strange if you are not used to showering at an open public space. It is a beautiful place and I definitely can recommend staying there two nights, explore the troll garden and go on a hike.

GermanyWe would have liked more bathrooms and more privacy in the showers. Unisex bathrooms would be great!
The camping pods were so cozy and clean! The staff was so excellent! Everyone was kind. The food at the restaurant was unexpectedly amazing. We spent 10 days in Iceland and this is a top 5 highlight. (And we loved everything we saw in Iceland) This place is a must do. We were also able to see the northern lights for the first time from right outside our pods.

United StatesLoved our pod! It was very comfortable, warm & cozy. Rode out a hefty wind storm our last night without any problems. We ate dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good & the view of the falls made it very special. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests while soaking in the hot tubs. The kitchens were clean & we were able to freeze our ice pack overnight. Check-in & out was super easy.

ItalyThe two kitchens were too small to fit for all the guests. You have to wait for the other guests to finish in order to have clean glasses and cuttlery to use.
The position was really nice and the place offers numerous additional services. The pods are warm and isolated, so it is confortable to sleep inside them. We appreciated the presence of the hot tubs.

CanadaThe only thing is, there is only one bathroom in the whole campsite so sometimes you have to line up and it's kind of stinky :(
The pods are really cute, trails/walks around the campsite exceeded my expectation, the place has a lot of character, and the view of the troll falls is beautiful. If you are lucky, you can also see the northern lights!

LatviaAgain, seems common to Iceland - showers with no separation, just common space with multiple shower heads. A bit uncomfortable if you are not used to it.
The location of property was amazing - near river and with great mountain view. Cabin was clean and fresh, equipped with heaters. Our favourite spot were hot tubs. Breakfast is worth the money.

What a little gem. We expected something a little humble given it's a camp site, but we were impressed with the entire property. It is not 5 star, but for camping it was better than we are used to. The breakfast was full and fairly priced. The grounds were beautiful and adventurous for young kids. It was quiet and peaceful.

GermanyAnother type of accommodation in barrels/pods, which offers more camping comfort but is less expensive than a classic hotel room. The campsite also offers hot tubs for all guests to use and a "troll path" to explore. Recommended.

Beautiful, interesting accommodation. It's a good idea to book your bed linen in advance, so you get some discount if they don't forget, as was the case with us. But we sorted it all out. They go out of their way to make sure that guests are comfortable, there are kitchens, hot baths, different trails ... you can soak in the hot water ... All in all, everything is in good order and we would be happy to return.

NetherlandsI regret booking only 1 night here.
It was the best accommodation we have had in Iceland! Property facilities, stuff, location and prices for all of it exceeded my expectations. Food in restaurant was really good and we were dining with a stunning view on the river, mountains and sunset. The hiking and walks around the camping are beautiful so interesting (the whole story about trolls and elves) - children of age from 3 to 100 will absolutely love it! Hot tubs were clean, really nice and with good t°. The camping pod had a private parking next to it, inside everything very well thought and bed was comfortable.
