Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The evening menu was limited. For the price the room was very basic and a little tired. Was very disappointed in the hotel overall for the price paid. Was in need of sanitary products, got caught short, and had a 40-minute drive to the nearest petrol station.
Great location to see northern lights. Breakfast was very good, nice selection. The staff were very nice.

Food was expensive. That was basically the only complaint.
Decent place sort of in the middle of nowhere on the ring road. The room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The place was quite crowded when we were there but it was very quiet. The food was definitely on the expensive side, even for Iceland.

Paulina & Hubert were amazing as were all the staff. They make this hotel themselves. Without the staff, I’d avoid this hotel as it’s dated & not very clean. Thank you Paulina for the amazing service.
The staff were amazing. Especially Paulina & Hubert in the Bar. They made the stay a great experience. The hotel it’s self need’s attention. Rooms are dated, old cheap furniture and bathroom had cloth like shower curtain that stank. For the price, total rip off!!! Spend some money from the over priced, tiny smelly rooms that you charge, renovate them to them try & justify charging €346 a night for!!!

There were rather unhygienic stains on the toilet bowl, which we, unfortunately, only noticed on the second day. We brought this to the attention of reception staff on check-out.
Comfortable lodging situated in a peaceful location. Especially convenient to visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. It has lovely views with wonderful nature around. Customer friendly staff. Abundant and varied breakfast. Very good dinner, although a little pricey.

The door to the balcony was stocked by glue? The staff couldn't solve this problem at that night. So we could not go out side to see the star.
Good location for Glacier tour the next day. The dinner and the breakfast is very delicious.

Terrible old bedsheets, the room was a bit tired for 400 eur/night and could do with some renovating. Questionable value for money.
Convenient location, great views, wonderful nature around. Very well sound-proofed rooms. Great breakfast, decent, but pricey, dinner.

The bedding was not clean. Housekeeping was supposed to change the duvet and sheet, but merely made the bed instead. Desk staff handled the situation well. The deck off our room needed to be swept. A couple of small chairs would be a great addition for relaxing and viewing the glacier from the deck.
The location was wonderful! The hotel is set off from the main road, surrounded by fields, and with a view of the glacier. Nice selection of dishes for the buffet.

Lacks privacy because window is either looking out on the parking lot or guests use a path to walk past your room. Long walk to room at ends of the halls. Restaurant food was not fresh, much seemed to be pre prepared. Could be better.
