A bit too expensive for what you get. The bathroom was a bit old.

incredible location and hotel design. It really feels like you are in another planet! great location to stop overnight before continuing the ring road to the glaciers.

The room needed some maintenance. The shades were worn, especially at the edges, and so they leaked sunlight. Since it was late spring, the result is the room never really got dark and the sun came around the curtains starting about 2 AM. The bathroom needed some maintenance too - the sink stopper was missing.

Great breakfast, beautiful location. The hotel blends into the landscape pretty well, and the landscape is spectacular. The staff is nice and the public areas are well maintained.

Balcony door was hard to close (we asked for help) to adjust heating there was a secret valve (we asked for help) No chairs in balcony, shower is splitted with a shower curtain which does not reach the ground. Bathroom is needlessly big

Bathroom was big. They told that room has Glacier view but weather was misty. We only see vacancy... Room was OK. Staff was helpful

rooms are really basic, more like a 3 star motel. they could’ve done much better with the interior of the rooms to complement the special exterior of the hotel

the location is on route to jökulsárlón, so it’s good for a night stop to rest and savor the space and emptiness around the hotel. You’d step out of your room and keep walking on cushion like ground with a 360 horizon all around, a truly special place for some peace and quiet

We liked the Bistro dinner better that he the buffet—would like to see their Bistro menu expanded.

Beautiful, well-designed hotel in a perfect location along the Ring Road to explore the area—from Diamond Beach to various waterfalls and hikes! The food was very good, and we loved the views! And shout out to Christina, the bartender! Not only did she make perfect drinks (best Martini I’ve had) but she was a wealth of information about the area.

The rooms were to be honest a little disappointing they were really small and the bathroom even smaller and because of this everything seemed steamed up or felt damp, that said we had a great nights sleep all 4 of us and the views were awesome. we did have a lot of wet clothes that night from our travelling so maybe that didn’t help.

The staff were all really really lovely and helpful and welcoming. Especially the staff in the restaurant they were great and very friendly to our kids. the area in next to the bar is lovely for the evening for relaxing or playing a board game. There are snacks and little souvenirs to buy also at reception. A nice hotel which served its purpose as a quick stopover very well.

There weren't many facilities around, but that was part of the charm of the hotel's location. Closest petrol station and restaurant was a 20 minute's drive on the Vik direction or 30 minutes towards Vatnajökull. The room price was a little on the expensive side, but expected as the weren't many other hotels in the area (again, also a good thing, otherwise the view from the room wouldn't have been so good).

The rooms were simply decorated, but spacious and clean. There was coffee, kettle, a fridge and a safe. We had a great view of the vast grassland and mountains and could step out straight into it from the room. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of food and the bistro dinner was decent and fairly priced for Iceland (we didn't try the buffet dinner as it was expensive). The staff was very friendly and helpful.
