If the cleaners cleaned the room while I was there I know I could request it but just kept forgetting. Was the only fault along with a few of the tv channels not working

The staff were amazing so helpful and friendly, the rooms were so comfortable and the location of the hotel was great. Right beside one of the main bus stops for the tours.

We didn’t have hot water or it takes 10+ minutes to come through. Our sink was draining extremely slowly. There’s no regular housekeeping service so didn’t have clean towels. Whilst I understand you can get them I just like it done automatically

2 single beds together. Main light switch on headboard. A couple of times, I accidentally rolled over and switched the lights on when asleep being awoken.

Absolutely no complaints

Everything. The location was perfect and it helped that meeting point for trips was outside-number12 bus stop. Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and the meal we had in garden bar was lovely. Staff very helpful and did their best to ensure we enjoyed our stay, I had asked if possible could we be allocated a room with a view as it was my husbands birthday . Not only did they oblige but we were delighted to find the card and complimentary plate of fruit and treats left in our room .

Inconsistency with the rooms, our first room had nice, heated floors and a mattress topper. Our second room had no heated floor and an extremely uncomfortable toilet seat.

Breakfast was great, lots of options and all fresh. The location was on the outskirts of the main strip but easy enough to walk to. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I should say that in general I really like our stay in Fosshotel. It’s not located in a heart of the city, however it’s a 15 min walk along nice street or along the water. We had a room with a beautiful view. Staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast is good and has everything what is needed.

I was at hotel 2 times in the week. First room 708 lovely. Good space and conveniences. Wish I had time to use tub. Upon return later in week I had room 345. This room is 33% smaller than other rooms for same price. There is no tub and open shower style. The angled wall made it hard to use TV, thermostat and other conveniences that were on unreachable side of room. There was only 0.5 m between wall and bed. The “desk” was also cut in triangle shape to fit in front corner and right in front of door. Chair did not fully fit under desk. Probably a safety issue for egress in emergency. So unfortunately I had a bad impression for my 2nd visit and final night before departure from Iceland.

Good selection of food at breakfast. Long lines at coffee machines. Maybe more premade drip coffee during peak time. Having small store in lobby very convenient snd good selection. Did not eat at restaurant or use room service. Hotel in great location to waterfront and main city part of city.

The glassware were't exchanged for clean, even after 4 nights. I didn't like having to ask to have the room cleaned.

As a one off, our first room had a heater w broken controls not possible to turn off, and opening a window did not help. With a fully booked hotel, the night reception supervisor found us an empty suite on top floor that was very nice; however, it was a windy night and unsecured objects on the roof were occasionally blown around by wind gusts, making noise. Supervisor came up to try to identify source but not possible as sounds were too sporadic. High praise for all her efforts to make us comfortsble!

There is parking, but it’s not free. If you arrive by car, you need to know. Where to unload the car. It would have been helpful to know this ahead of time. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon around 5 PM, there were hundreds of people in the lobby. It’s a big hotel but in spite of the mass of people they were well organized. These were mainly tour buses.

Tourists hotel noisey lack of facilities small bar lounge ? Room furniture tired , food is average nothing special

Breakfast standard tourist hotel fare bacon and meats were cold ! Orange machines empty , vastly over priced for quality offered which was distinctly average , bedroom furniture signs of tiredness safe didn’t work , fittings tired ! Clean room , location is ok close to local facilities , this is a tourist hotel major holiday groups so it’s often overrun and I mean overrun ! Used hotel as others booked !
