Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

11/10. The 3rd floor apartment looked like a doll house! Very clean, equipped with everything you may need to cook there. Just keep in mind that there is no elevator.

I should have paid more attention to past visitors' comments on how steep the stairs are. They can be tricky if you are carrying a lot of bags or aren't in great shape. And there could have been brighter lights (something we find is an issue at just about every place we visit). Note that we visited the apartment during Iceland's winter, so it was dark outside 18 hours a day.
The apartment is clean and well-located. It has a fully equipped kitchen and comes with bed linens. There's a TV you can use to connect to your subscribed services.

Everything was great!
Very spacious and clean house. The host came up to make sure that we are all settled in during check-in. She was also very responsive when we needed help.

Top floor bedrooms require a little flexible movement! Drippy kettle needs replacing Shower head difficult to control Kitchen could do with more crockery, cutlery and pan lids that fit

All was perfect!
"Wow" place!! It is a former primary school from 1900, restored. The apartment was superb! Well equipped, all you needed was there and we felt better than at home :) A friend of mine loved the couch and the blanket so much that she slept there all night (and later bought the same blanket). Very cozy and comfortable place :) we do recommend staying there!

It was the top apartment. A bit hard to climb the last stairs with big suitcases
The place was magnificent. Lovely apartment. We were just sad we had so few time to stay and enjoy.

Would have been nice to have soap in the shower but I know it didn’t claim to offer that.
Collecting keys was easy, apartment was spacious and clean. Very cute place and in wonderful location, we loved Husavik. Laundry was shared and was greatly appreciated. Host was very responsive. Might be our favorite accommodations of our 8 day road trip, we wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed in the ground floor apartment, and when guests arrived on the upper floor, their footsteps could be heard. It didn't reach a disturbing level, but it was still audible.
Well equipped, cosy apartment, very well located, well thought out design.

Tv aren’t useful as no account were linked, and we don’t trust the property enough to link ours. Toiletries aren’t provided (shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash), with the price I’m paying, I’m expecting a least decent toiletries are provided, but disappointingly none were found.
Lovely house, well equipped kitchen, lovely rooms, washing machine and tumbler can be found in the property.

One small note, it is 3rd floor, we knew about stairs (no.issue), but bed in double bed room required one person to duck around dormer ceiling or crawl over other side of bed. Only issue, which was slight, was family on first floor kept slamming doors to apt and outside between 9-11pm and leaving outside door open. We closed it for them 5 times! That is not owner's fault though!
Beautiful apartment. Loved kitchen and beds were comfy!!! Laundry free with dryer was super wonderful. Did not meet owners, but they were in touch...no complaints!!

Our apartment was on the 3rd floor and in the bathroom and bedrooms one needed to be careful not to hit one's head on the sloped ceilings. Also the fire alarm went off at 2:30 in the morning, twice. I called the manager and she sorted it out right away, but not until it went off again two or three times.
This was a very clean and spacious apartment with a nice kitchen dining area and living area with two bedrooms and a large bathroom. It was a few minutes walk from everything in central Husavik.

Too hot as evening sun shines through to the 2 bedrooms. As it is really hot on the day we checked in.
The entire apartment is really nicely done. Kitchen equipment & utensils are excellent, rooms & dining area modernly decorated.

The interior could be made a little less sparse. Everything is white and the lighting is all overhead making it feel a little cold at first. But this isn’t a huge deal.
This rental is extremely well located in Husavik. Everything is walkable, but it’s tucked away on a side street and so quiet. It was spacious and extremely clean. Very comfortable for a larger family. The staff were responsive. Lots of details like outdoor picnic table and convenient access to washer/dryer.

Couldn't figure out how to work the dishwasher. Maybe have some instructions available.
