It has a kitchen equipped with all the necessary tools for cooking your own food, and the room is clean. The price is quite reasonable, especially for Iceland.

I have chosen a place with shared bathroom and toilet for the first time, since I was alone. I think I will never do it again. But this is already known at booking, and it’s how hostels work. If you’re ok with it, this place is wonderful.

The only issue I had was the blocked drainage in the ladies’ shower room. Because of this, the water drained very slowly, and at times, the bathroom would get quite flooded.

Great location about 15 minutes walking to the bus terminal station. Friendly staff and well equipped kitchen with all facilities. We were very fortunate that the hotel provided us with late check-out and helped us with baggage storage.

Everything was as expected, no surprises.

Good location, 10-15 min. walk to downtown Reykjavík through a nice park, and 15 min to BSI bus station. Basic rooms, with shared bathroom, but comfortable enough. The staff was very helpful solving little problems with the booking. Expensive compare to other European cities but ok for Reykjavík average prices.

I know there was a canteen or something nearby but no one told me where it was. It would be nice to provide some more information when checking in.

We stayed for a week and I would have appreciated a cleaning at least once. The shower had some hairs from the previous people, but that was removed easily. Apart from that, room and bath were clean.

The Student Hostel was the perfect place to explore Reykjavik and visit the university. The room (we had the deluxe one) was small with two beds and a desk, but it was all we needed thanks to the large storage spaces. The room came with linen and towels. The location is perfect, everything can be reached by foot (University, City and the BSI Bus Terminal for trips). The rooms was quiet, the beds comfy and the bath was functional with a good shower. The staff was excellent and super helpful. We had several questions and all were answered perfectly. The common kitchen is a great place to store food and meet people. Value for money is excellent and I highly recommend it for a stay in Iceland.

An electric socket in one of the rooms was hanging off the wall but we reported it.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was relatively low cost, in a great location for walking downtown, very clean and with comfortable beds. It is a hostel-type accommodation, so very basic rooms and bathrooms but perfectly fit for purpose. Heating worked well and it was very quiet. Communal kitchen was clean and the lounge was pleasant to sit in. The chap in reception was very friendly and helpful. Would certainly use this again and have recommended to friends and family already.

We had no problems.

Good location, across the street from the city park, close to the center and a bar/cafe nearby with student prices. Spacious parking. We had a room with a private bathroom. Small but clean. Spacious kitchen with dining table and couch, where you can easily prepare any meal. Our part of the hostel was quiet and with nice neighbors. Nice staff who tried to answer every question. They didn't make a problem when I wanted to check out later because I wasn't feeling well at the morning.

There is no wifi inside the room. It is really annoying.

The reception staff were really kind and easy to get in touch with them. The views are really good and you get a large dinning and kitchen room. I really like this place. I strong recommend for anyone.
