Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The facility could use some maintenance and is a little old. The walls are thin and you can hear the surroundings very well.
Great location. Quiet and close to the center. Family-friendly and really nice staff. A great place to have a stayover on the road to the south coast.

Our only suggestion is to provide more (or better) pillows and additional towels for a 3 night stay.

Check in after time for cleaning but still some dirt/litter after that...I guess previous guests had a party...
Nice location. Close to cafes and supermarkets but still quiet. Kitchen with everythong you need for small stay. Hot tub full in 1h and very confortable. Nice roona and beds

Sweet and nice that you get a space just completely to yourself! definitely thumbs up for the hot tub for free, something that really upgraded our day after rain, rain and more rain 😁

Only one minor thing (not dissatisfied but for everyone's reference, the room I stayed was #20) is that the table and 2 chairs just fits in, you cannot drag your chair back and sit, instead one chair should be taken out to sit.
Every each room is separated accommodation exactly shown in the photos. Quiet, clean, very warm with all kitchenwares you need with large fridge. There is a warm pool (not big for swim as you see in the photo) until 22:00 and also there's laundry machine with dryers you can use without additional fees.

unfortunately the roof leaked during. a heavy rain.
the location was good. the trees were beautiful. the beds were soft and we enjoyed the private hot tub !

The hot tub and location to the Golden Circle. The cabin was clean and roomy except for bedrooms were a little small which seems to be normal. Deck was nice but rainy the whole time so not much opportunity. Breakfast available for a price.

Good location and friendy staff. Room was OK, however stove in our kitchen was rather dated and we were not able to use it, this fact did present a chalenge with our cooking.

Pillows were not very comfortable but this is a common theme in Iceland.
Amazing find! Very central to town but the cabin seemed very remote, surrounded by trees. Great hot tub and BBQ was a happy surprise. Staff were super lovely and helpful. We loved our stay here.

we were given the house HOF and we were so pleasantly surprised. Full wood house, 2 bedrooms, well facilitated kitchen, clean bathroom, a common relaxing area with a sofa and a balcony. we just came from secret lagoon so didn’t use the hot tub but that was available too.

It was too warm for us - and no apparent way to turn down the temperature - but easily remedied by opening the window an door
We had a cosy chalet on this quiet holiday camping site. The chalet was equipped with a comfortable bed, shower room and toilet, a fridge, microwave and two-ring hob. There was also a hot tub to use. Selfoss is a lovely town near the attraction on Iceland’s Golden Circle - there’s a good supermarket and good restaurants
