Gorgeous location with incredible views, very good room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast which was a really nice addition to the stay and super good value being included in the price of the room! Room was very hot with no radiator to change and temp/ window did not open very wide! Not the fault of the property however the road leading up the property is extremely bumpy/ pot holey gravel track!

Great rural location, you can see the sheep and the sheds. Nice, luminous dining area, a porch with great views. Clean, spacious cabins with built-in bathrooms. Clean linen and towels. Friendly staff

An incredible guesthouse, with a very welcoming staff, with a view to the tongues of the vanajokull glacier, spectacular, perfect as well to see the northern lights

+Fantastic and amazing location surrounded by amazing landscapes 360 degrees. We could have a fantastic view of vesterhorn, heinaberg glacier from here + common toilet and bathroom were very clean and well maintained + Breakfast was excellent and the the breakfast eating area is with a fantastic view + paid dinner option was excellent . We get to taste the lamb meat from their own farm. It was fantastic. +Fantastic and lovely place to view the northern lights .

We planned our evening meal at Nypugardar as there are no facilities and nothing nearby, however the food just wasn't as good as we had elsewhere. Maybe that's just Iceland setting the bar high but in comparison to other places it was just fine.

The location is great, remote and with fantastic views. It's next to a farm which some people won't like but for us, it made it more rural and added to the experience. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Overall it's just a lovely place.

The room with a shared bathroom is located next to the breakfast room. The bathroom is small. We have dinner there but the food was not tasty.

Low shower pressure. We couldn’t control the heating system, so it was too hot at night (uncomfortable). Strong farm smell right outside the hotel.

It was away from city lights so we got to se the Northern lights from the hotel bedroom. Good breakfast.

I really liked this place, it is very nice and quiet with amazing views of the glaciers, the mountains and the sea. The staff was very kind and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfy. There is no kitchen but you can use the toaster in the dinning room area. We had dinner there, the lamb was very good, directly from their farm. Also it was good quality for the price we paid for the dinner compared to other restaurants. I recommend this place in your visit to Iceland for a road trip.

Wonderful stay! We had booked a room and were pleasantly surprised. It looked even better in real life than in the photos. You could enjoy stunning views over the landscapes, even from your room. We were lucky to witness the beautiful Northern Lights from here. The room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious! Definitely a must-add to your road trip.

There were a lot of dust under the bed, eindows are sealed so we couldn’t open them and it was quite hot.

We got an upgraded room with private bathroom, which was very nice. The breakfast was included in the price.

The property was clean, comfortable and well situated. If it wasn’t cloudy it would be perfect for viewing northern lights as it is well away from artificial lights. I also liked that breakfast was included! The staff were very friendly.

Guesthouse Nýpugarðar is a very nice place to spend the night. The room had a beautiful view, and all the basic comforts were provided. The breakfast was very good, and the location is very convenient for exploring the area. Simple, easy, and perfect for a relaxing stay.
