Great location, awesome views, clean and tidy rooms

Only minor downside would be little ventilation in the room (unable to open windows). This made it difficult to cool the room after being in the sun all day (was there during summer).

Excellent staff. Beautiful lodgings with spectacular views of the mountains and glacier in the distance. The breakfast in the morning was great! Much recommended.

All good! If you wanted to eat out it is a fair drive to the neatest town but this did not bother us as the restaurant in the farm was great.

The dinner menu was wonderful - you must try the lamb burger!!! There was a coffee/tea stand you could help yourself from at any time which was greatly appreciated

The only thing that was not so easy was that the shared toilet and shower were in one room, which sometimes leads to waiting times for the bathroom. But this is just a tiny point. Overall it was very nice.

Lovely location and very very friendly team. Rooms were clean and practical. Dinner and breakfast were also very good and individually prepared. I can only recommend to stay here.

Nypugardar is located in a beautiful setting overlooking two glaciers and we loved having that view from the property. Our room was located in the main building and had its own private bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and unlike many in Iceland the temperature of the room was perfect! We had the best night's sleep of our whole trip here! We ate our evening meal in the restaurant which is renowned for its lamb dishes and both of us were wowed by the quality and taste of the meals. It was the best dinner of our entire trip too! In the morning our breakfast was again amazing. The bread was warm and tasted so good, and I don't know what they added to the Skyr yoghurt but it was again the best we had in the country. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would give Nypugardar a score of more than 10 if possible.

Gravel road between the normal road and this farm has extremely many potholes, drive carefully

This amazing little guesthouse is part of the sheep farm (next building), and animals roam freely, so be prepared they will come to say hi :) Our room was built as a small house - part of a longer row-house. Comfy and cozy, with nice bed, chill area with the sofa, clean nice bathroom with shower and towel warmer which was extremely handy for small clothes washing and drying. The view from the window was so stunning that I took photos in different light conditions during the evening: sheep field, stones, woods, glacier, mountains, sunset...

Everything was perfect.

Everything! The sheep were such a joy. The room was wonderful and we had our own bathroom with a view of two glaciers! The ladies at reception were sweet and the food was so yummy. I couldn't recommend them more. We will definitely be back and will stay even longer than the two nights we did.

Just 1 shared bathroom(+WC) for 3 rooms, so waiting time during the morning. Showers not properly isolated and gets quickly flooded. .

This property is about 30min from Höfn, so if you need anything stop before making your way here! I should’ve researched better myself but this little inconvenience didn’t ruin my stay.

very nice rural location, good value for money, and we had a fantastic dinner (you eat their farm products such as lambs however they also have vegetarian options). Buffet breakfast was also very good. Room was simple but comfortable. Lovely girl at reception/ restaurant!

the room were a little tight with a regular sized room and small bedroom with queen bed bring your own shampoo

our room accommodated us with our two adult sons. it. it served our purpose, was clean and good price. We did a 10 day circle trip and our sons said this was the best tasting dinner from the whole trip. we had the cod and they had the farm lamb and farm lamb burgers.

We stayed in the small house. It was very cosy with an amazing view. Hosts are very kind. We had an opportunity to see baby sheep and cuddle it a bit. Very sweet! Made our daughter the happiest person.
