Driving to the property, we were a little unsure. When we arrived to the property, we were blown away. Both literally and figuratively. The wind was fierce, but the rooms were quite. The dinner was AMAZING, and one of the best meals of the trip. The clouds in the sky parted for a few hours to let us have a glimpse of the aurora.

Everything was perfect.

The hut was basic but had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and the hut was warm. A particular highlight was the spectacular view we had of the Northern lights from this guest house. When it got too cold to stand outside any longer, we went back inside the room for a bit and still had a great view of the aurora hanks to the large windows on both sides of the hut. We were supposed to have a room with a shared bathroom but were upgraded to our own hut with private bathroom which was a lovely bonus too. Great value for money and would highly recommend to anyone planning on visiting the area.

It was a little far off the main road with a gravel road leading up to the accommodation - which could have been better signposted. However, very minimal issue.

Absolutely beautiful cabin room that we stayed in, with a huge wet room and incredibly comfortable beds. The staff were very helpful and friendly, asking us about our trip and giving some advice on places to go and the condition of the roads. I was absolutely blown away for the size of the room and the facilities for the amount that we were paying. It was a beautiful room and location. The breakfast was also great. Very enjoyable stay!

The room was comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The staff was extremely helpful with dining suggestions. We awoke to a flat tire on our rental and the owner and one of employees happily changed it!

No way to adjust the temperature in the rooms, no fridge in the rooms and we selected a double bed during booking but got 2 single beds that were next to each other instead.

The room was very quiet, clean and big enough. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The scenery at this place is great and we were able to visit the local sheep. We had breakfast included which was nice but the same every day with limited options.

Walls are quite thin, our room was just next to the common bathroom and we could hear everything. Breakfast misses hot milk, adding that would make it perfect

Comfy, cozy and incredibly warm (but not too warm) room that we really enjoyed after a very icy and glacier day. The beds were amazingly comfy, and the breakfast in the morning was a very positive surprise in terms of the choice. Would definitely recommend, even though it is a bit of an extra drive from Jökulsárlón!

The people working there are just lovely! We arrived pretty late and they were so nice about it. We arrived after dinner hours but they still went out of their way to fix us at least something to eat. And the guesthouse was so big. It was just perfect!

One of the best cottages I’ve been to in Iceland. The place was tidy and cozy. The staff were friendly and the food was to die for! Poka is an amazing host and cook 👩‍🍳 if you are going to visit Vestrahorn, Stokkness and Höfn this is your place ! ☺️☺️☺️

Staff members were fantastic. The one who was there on the evening we arrived offered to let us know if the Northern Lights were happening and she did so. Room was comfortable with clean bathroom and good space. Easy parking (plenty of space). Dinner was very nice and we got to meet other travellers too.

This was one of the hostel I liked most. First, the receptionist Barti (?) was absolutely welcoming and warm. I talked since I first arrived till I last left the dinner room. Although she was a bit skeptical about the chance to see the Northern Lights, it happened and could not be better. The place is a cozy farm, and the place all wooden. For me it makes difference. The room is spacious, and there was bathroom included, all clean and conf. I am pleased I had this special moment there, and for sure, I would recommend the place.

Whilst I had no issues, the single shared bathroom on my floor could cause problems if busier or wake-up times unfortunately coincide! But the facilities available were good and clean!

I really enjoyed the communal dining area where the owners offered a good selection of food and drinks for dinner and breakfast - the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cosy!
