A small family business, where we really felt welcome. Our hostess Sigríður was really friendly, very eager to discuss and answer our question around Icelandic life and culture. The property is on a quiet, rural location, but at the same time very conveniently close to the "Golden Circle" and the ring road. Definitely recommend as a stop over after Gulfoss/Geysit and on your way to Seljalandfoss/ring road. The room and shared bathrooms were very clean, plus we had running fresh water inside the room! Price of the dinner is quite expansive but average compared to Iceland prices.

The lady managing the gusthpuse is very kind. She is also a good cooker as we had a dinner there (she prepared a stuffed cod very tasteful). They have a nice dog so if you start playing with him prepare yourself to play all the night :D

A nice little guesthouse! Perfect for a night or two stay while you're traveling around. Friendly staff who was willing to give me local suggestions, charming farmgrounds (maybe a bit hard to find), overall perfect for a solo traveler.

Wonderful countryside place located on a farm with horses and sheep. Ideally situated to visit the Golden Circle! Owners are adorable and helpful to the max. Very comfortable beds and great facilities, we were able to dry all our outdoor gear. Home-made evening meal was really good.

The hot water has a funky geysir sulfuric smell, so each shower makes the bathroom smell like rotten eggs. But cold water is delicious and drinkable.

As soon as we arrived we were a bit confused as the front looked like a ghost shed closed years ago, noone inside... and we could not call the number posted on the front window as our phones didn't work in Iceland. But we energetically knocked on the door, and someone came and opened for us, checked us in, and we were in the hot tub within minutes! The sauna and hot tub behind the common room / restaurant are great! We cut our day-hiking short just to come back earlier and spend more time in the tub and sauna before bed :) Breakfast buffet was also delicious and hard to stop eating...

The property was modern and spotlessly clean. It was a pleasure to stay there and be looked after by such an attentive host and her family. And the view of the mountains from the dining room window was unforgettable.

The first thing we noticed when we got in the building was how clean every room was. The breakfast, which was included, was amazing. Also, the family that runs the guesthouse, were inviting and very nice.
