Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IcelandUsb outlets are little weak, my phone had 12h charging time to full battery. Capsules could be better silenced.
Something different. Nice to experience and cheap way to sleep when you dont care about privacy. Good air quality in capsule.

IcelandSublime. High ticket comfort for low budget Monet. Immaculate facilities, common areas are big, comfortable and cozy. Kitchen supplies, free coffee, books, luggage room... the dream of every traveler. The capsules work perfectly and are really cute, they provide cool interior lights and TV, it´s definitely an interesting way to sleep. My respect

UkraineThe capsules are extremely noisy even if you only toss and turn at light. It's impossible to turn off the light of the buttons in the capsule. No space inside for your suitcases and no wardrobes outside. We needed to leave your suitcases in the car. They don't provide towels, you need to contact them (a day before!) and pay extra. If no, they don't provide anything. The only hostel out of all the places I stayed that did that. The kitchen closes at 10 which is extremely inconvenient considering that people usually only sleep in hostels so we couldn't cook anything and had to to eat out. I don't recommend this place.
The bathrooms were clean and a dining room is quite big. There are a lot of board games and a coffee machine.

United KingdomNothing - great place to stay.
The property was in the centre of town. It was secure behind a code locked door. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was very clean. There were free hot drinks available. It was very quiet. There were lots of things to do: games, books, television in the pod. Fantastic value for money.

Czech RepublicThe check in was only one moment, which wasn't the best of all. My card, which I got, didn't work so I had to call the host and the call answered some guy, who wasn't helpful and kept telling me, that I am using my card for opening the capsule incorrectly, even though it was not my first time there, so I have already known, how everything works. The card was not working at all and the guy was kinda rude. Luckily he let know the owner about not working card and when she came in person, I have got the best service from her and got finally working card. It is not a big deal, but when you call a host, when there is some problem, is it not nice to talk to somebody, who is rude and not helpful at all. Even though this happen, I would definitely come again, because the accomodation is not usual and has a really good vibe so you have a great experience from that! So definitely recommended!

AustraliaNothing. I had the loveliest time.
Amazing kitchen!! Excellent oven. I made some of the best roast dinners of my life in that oven. So many great utensils and such in that kitchen, so definitely check it out before going shopping to get some ideas on what you can make. So much potential!! Supermarkets are about 1.2km away. There is a Netto in the shopping mall and a Krónan across the road. Quite a few gluten free options at both if you need that sort of stuff like I did. Staff were lovely and kept the place super clean daily. So many cool little spaces within the hostel with sofas and arm chairs, pool table, chess set, etc. Gorgeous big dining area for eating. Honestly, my least favourite thing was the pod bed, but that shows you how great this place was!!! It was just a really nice cosy vibe everywhere, you felt almost like you were staying in someone's home rather than a hostel.

United StatesI’m just not a good fit for a “pod” type room. First, I should have asked for a lower pod. Getting up to the top one is difficult if you have any mobility issues (back or knee pain here). The mattress was comfortable but a bit hard. Honestly, none of this would deter me from booking there again. I now know how to do it the best way for me, just want to share my experience if it can help anyone else. The cost is the best deal in Akureyi and the pod does force you to get out and see the sites (versus the temptation to sleep in if you are jet-lagged!).
I loved everything - one of the nicest “hostels” I’ve ever stayed at. Very clean, great shower (private facilities), easy check-in and out, staff very kind and very quick to respond.

CanadaCooking time is over at 10. For people who come as tourists they might need to cook late night or early mornings. Would be night if that can be facilitated.

United KingdomThe essential checking in video to watch wasn't working and that information was not available anywhere else, so left to figure out how the pods work ourselves as there's no staff present. The pods are fairly small and we found it awkward to manage the sleeping space and where to leave our stuff. Nowhere obvious where to leave towels to dry for example. The TV wasn't working in our pod at took essentially an hour to figure out it needed a remote that wasn't left in our pod, by then it was already late, and one set of headphones was partially broken, and one inlet for the headphones was also very temperamental, so not a great experience with facilities. Extensive recycling in kitchen but no food waste which was sad. Billiards table but the triangle to align the balls was broken and difficult to use. Only one oven so can wait in a queue, and very complicated to figure out how to use also, could really do with some simple instructions. Water machine available but sparkling water function broken (if the machine they have should provide it, I'd expect it to work). No herbal teas available, so unless you like black tea, go prepared. Really unsure about the kitchen organisation, as in, who is meant to put dishes in the dishwasher, when, or what shouldn't be washed in it. Expensive for the pod you get. Would recommend just getting a room as the price difference is minimal.
Very central location, comfy beds, flexible self check in timing with clear instructions how to get in. Large sitting area and coffee/tea facilities. WiFi throughout. Very few people stayed there at the time of our visit.

Czech RepublicCapsules are really low quality. There is no air even you have the fan on max and the bed quality is not there either. It feels like sleeping on the floor. It was huge dissapointed. The bathrooms don't have any signs on them so you are trying to blindly open random doors. We were looking for a quality night sleep but in this place it was impossible.
The meeting room and kitchen are really nice. Overall the capsules are unique
