Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe do not recommend taking the breakfast. Small buffet with little choice, crowded at opening time, we were lucky to find a seat and it was difficult to get something you want because the best stuff was taken quickly and you're left to wonder what you'll put on your plate. The staff were quick enough to refill but price for value is low.
The room was great, modern, clean, had a smart TV, great bathroom, fridge, couch etc. Drying lockers are a plus. There are washing machines at your disposal and you can park your car right outside your room.

United StatesThe shower was awkward. It also has nowhere to put your own bath products.
The room was a nice size. Beds were comfortable. Amenities were good, but a hair dryer would have been a great addition.

United KingdomIf I had to nit pick, I’d say I would have like to have a kettle to make hot drinks and a hair dryer, thankfully I brought my own. Also it is not central - because I didn’t drive I had to take taxies. Despite all of this I would still choose this hotel.
Modern, very clean, very spacious room. TV had all the apps, I love the patio doors, the view is incredible. The room had plenty of towels, bedding. It’s very quiet, I never heard any outside noises.

MexicoThe jacuzzi closes at 10pm so we didnt get to use it. I think they could keep it open all day as there is no staff anyway.
Beautifully designed, spacious rooms. The automated check-in and check-out makes it very easy to arrive and leave the property any time. There was a coffee machine with capsules in the room, very nice touch. Black outs worked perfectly. The hotel is situated just outside of the main part of Akureyri but if you have a car it’s really not a problem and in exchange the views are amazing. You can park you car right outside at the terrace of each room so it’s very easy to move heavy luggage in and out.

DenmarkThis place is very modern, extremely clean and located on a small hill in Akureyri, meaning that the view is great from up there! It also has two outdoor hot tubs right outside the main entrance (they don't have the view, but are still so cool!), a vast kitchen and even a storage room for bikes and ski equipment! We really enjoyed our stay and Akureyri is really a gem worth visiting!

United StatesThe breakfast was not worth the price. I know this is a limited staff hotel but there could be more variety of food and coffee pods that work in the coffee machine in the dining are.

United StatesThe hotel complex has great promise and may have reached it by now, but was still under construction when I stayed there (spring 2023). At least one more building looked around half-completed, though the one my room was in seemed to be basically done and there was nothing about it that in any way detracted from my stay. Construction noise in the area was minimal and never at inappropriate hours.
Facilities and overall location have great promise. I visited during the spring, so can't comment on the neighboring ski resort. But the hotel is clearly outfitted to make trips there easy with a changing area and (large!) self-service equipment lockers that will easily fit multiple sets of skis and snowboards per room. Room itself was great - large, clean, and with modern furnishings, although I could not for the life of me figure out the dimmer light switches. Either I'm dumb or they were wired incorrectly, probably the first.

United StatesOne thing that was a little weird was no jets in the hot tub. Might just be a European thing, definitely not a deal breaker though.
Decent location, the rooms were modern and the code lock system for the room was convenient. No fumbling around for a room key or card. Was thoroughly surprised by how nice the room was considering the price and location. probably one of my favorite towns from my trip

AustraliaThe hotel had a "slightly unfinished" feel in certain areas; just a few final touches were lacking. That said, it was really not a significant impact on our stay. An extra washer/ dryer or two would be a welcome addition, given the number of rooms in the complex.
We arrived late around 8pm but check-in was easy, using the pin codes that we'd been sent. The room was spacious, had a fresh new feel about it, excellently appointed bathroom. The communal dining area was adequately equipped and functional. The washing machine and dryer were very handy. Easy access from carpark to our room through the sliding door off the external courtyard. Expansive views over Akureyri.
