Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe shower in the room was quite small, as was the wash basin.
The people who run it are lovely. Made me very welcome on arrival, offering me a free beer! They offered me advice with where to eat, important as there is no restaurant on the hotel itself. There is a decent fast food restaurant just behind the hotel (excellent pizzas) and bakery close by serving basic but nice breakfast. The room was very comfortable and reasonably quiet. Good wifi.

United StatesThe staff was outstanding!!! The property was very clean. The staff went out of the way to be thoughtful, helpful and attentive. The location was excellent. The cafe Skalli was close, reasonably priced and provided good food. The staff gave excellent food and attraction guidance. I absolutely recommend this establishment, especially because of the staff.

United StatesThe room was not set up for two separate beds, but we could separate them easily. When we did, it was pretty dirty under where the joined beds were, including a random cotton swab on the floor. There were some hairs on the wall in the bathroom and no bath mat towel, which would have been handy. The towels themselves were okay, but they're probably going to need to replace them soon. Other than these things, though, it was great.
Comfortable, quiet, plenty of parking, friendly staff, with a decent amount of room and a private bath. The window opened for fresh air, and the staff were very helpful with things like printing boarding passes. I didn't mention the cleanliness to the staff because we just wanted to sleep, but I'm pretty sure they would have addressed it if we pressed it.

BelgiumBesides the price we also did not like the fact that there was a kettle in the room but no tea or water.
Iceland is an expensive country and hotels there are extremely overpriced (from the global point of view). Yet from all hotels charging hundreds of euros per night this was the most reasonable. It was clean, comfortable, quiet. Not far from downtown Reykjavik, next to it there is a nice bakery to have morning breakfast and coffee. Free parking.

FinlandNo breakfast. Location really gloomy in an semi-industrial area.
Beautifully and thoroughly renovated tidy hotell. Extremely comfortable beds with down pillows and duvets. Good for one-night stay if you have an early flight following morning, without need to travel through Reykjavik if heading to the international airport.

United StatesThe location was in a sparse suburb with very limited restaurants. There is limited time schedule for the city bus connections into main city. Taxi cost between $38 and $68 each trip.
Room had excellent shower. The water pressure and water temp was nice. The owner helped us get a taxi into town. The hotel is clean and well kept.

United StatesThe only slight downside is that there is nothing close by for dinner or breakfast options. There is a lovely bakery near by for pastry and coffee and sandwiches if you wish but nothing more than that. not sure why the hotel does not offer a breakfast feature either for an additional fee or included in the hotel cost. In our 14 day vacation this was the only hotel without some sort of breakfast offering and since nothing else near by it is the only criticism I have. I would stay again though since everything else was perfect.
The owner was very welcoming and helpful in all area's of our arrival and checkout. The hotel was very clean, beds comfortable and shower facility was modern and up to date. Elevator to second floor was a plus also.It is a family run hotel and young daughter was delightful to interact with during our stay. Reasonable cost and good value for the area. Free parking is a plus and while it is a short drive into City Center it is close to any drive you plan on taking or tour to be picked up. In our case the owner was exceptionally kind to let us leave our rental car in the hotel parking lot overnight for a tour that required us to be away for 24 hrs. I would highly recommend Hotel Heidmork especially if you are in a rental car.

The room was what we were expecting - quite a compact room, but with everything we needed. The room was clean. Not every single reservation has breakfast included, but there is a good bakery right next to the hotel (2min walk) where you have 15% discount - we went there (nice bakery!). The parking is free and it's easy to park. Plenty of space available. You have a big supermarket around the corner as well.
