The room was super comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom was roomy. The bed was perfect and the room was big. The location was a bit weird, above offices or bank, but the neighborhood was quiet and some restaurants were near by.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Helgrindur. It is above the bank so there are stairs to get to the room. Key was in the door with our name on the sticky note. Very easy check in. Nice terrace to sit and read a book. Beautiful view. Grocery store and restaurants are in walking distance. The Hotel provided Netflex. You can see Kirkjufell mountain from your room. Short drive to park to walk across from the mountain. It is a pay to park. Make sure you always pay at these parking spots. If you don't, your rental car will receive the ticket and they then add a hefty fine.

All the rooms are upstairs which is a pain with heavy bags. As travellers in our 60s, we found the bed a bit on the hard side. w Would have been good if the fridge was lifted up off the floor.

Roomy, super clean and well appointed. Obviously very recently and tastefully renovated. Big bathroom. Pretty quiet.

There were no elevators so if you have large luggages, you'll have to bring them up one flight of stairs. The bathroom lights were motion controlled with no manual switch, which was fine but sometimes the lights would turn off while you were still in the shower.

This location was very convenient as our home base as we explored the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The room was spacious and we had an amazing view of Kirkjufell. The bathroom had a heated towel rack, which made it very convenient to dry gloves and winter gear after a day of exploring.

Room ventilation was a little noisy and the toilet had cold air coming in.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly, allowing us to book an extra night at the very last minute. The location was convenient with access to a gas station / small grocery store just within walking distance. Also a short drive away from the iconic Kirkufell. The space was roomy with a small kitchen space, a dining table, and a sofa (great for packing up).

The guesthouse was amazing. The room and bathroom were really big. We enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse and the staff was super friendly and easy to contact. The small kitchen was great we were able to make some coffee and tea in the morning. Check in and Check out were really easy.

Nothing it was great.

The room was very spacious and felt like being at home a nice way to properly relax on holidays, the beds were comfortable and the facilities especially kitchen were great. We had a good view of the mountain from our room and the communal balcony. Location is great if you want to photograph the area, we were chasing the northern lights and could quickly pop in and out as the weather changed.

They only provide microwave, however it is understandable as cooking hob may causes hygiene problem. It is an upper level, could be a trouble if you need to move your heavy luggage. it located above a bank, so don’t confuse if you see the bank entrance.

There is no elevator and the guest house is on the second floor of the building.

A pleasant surprise. The exterior of the building is simple. When you enter this building its really not clear you are in a guesthouse and you need to go up a flight of stairs. If you have heavy luggage this is a problem. My room was newly renovated with a fridge, microwave, sink, and kettle. The bathroom sparkling. There is no breakfast or any facilities but the guesthouse is well placed to local offerings and a grocery store.

the outside of the building looks shabby and there wasn’t an elevator, which would be fine if I weren’t traveling with someone with an injured knee. we managed it but I wish I had known that the rooms were on the second floor.

Nice, spacious room for a really fair price not far from Kirkjufell. nicely decorated and came with a smart TV, which I found most guesthouses not to have. private kitchenette and bathroom was a great touch
