The staff was wonderful, security was very good, it was a bit chilly in the bathrooms, the room and bathroom were kept clean, and overall a very pleasant stay.

The highly expensive and poor quality food.

We stated in a family room which was comfortable and clean. The only negative thing to say about this place was the food, especially dinner time menu. stay here but for the love of God don’t eat here.

Family room we stayed did not have a dedicated bathroom, that was not clearly mentioned when I booked. But it was not a problem as there was a shared bathroom for family with two shower and one toilet and the whole room can be locked.

Location was perfect for us being at the center of the city.

First of all: I'm not a hostel person, this was more like an experiment. The place is nice, the room was decent but if you are picky nothing is too appealing in a hostel. Lesson learned. But for hostels standards I think this is a good one. One of the best swimming pools in Reykjavik is next door and the cathedral is just 2 min walk. The location is really good.

There is no cooking plate for food preparation, as it is difficult or impossible to cook with a microwave oven. There are no shelves for storing things in the bathrooms and rooms.

Very nice welcoming staff, possible to leave luggage in storage, close to city centre and comfy beds. Big kitchen with enough seating for group dinners.

Generally, there wasn't much I didn't like.

The room was simple but comfy. Chairs and sofas are all around the hostel to get to know people or just chill alone.

The fire alarm went off late at night for unknown reason. It was a known problem, so we hope they fix it soon for future guests.

Kitchen a tad too small in view of the large no of guests. Lack of coasters to place hot pans/pots on the table.

the charger point didn’t work. the door is really loud .. Every-time someone comes or leaves it’s so loud , everyone wakes up. the shower stops like every 15 or 20 seconds … so annoying to take a shower. really small fridge, always full. I had to straighten my hair in the middle of the eating area in the restaurant because the power sockets in our room stopped working …

A bit expensive as for a hostel

The staff wa really nice and helpful. It was very clean in rooms, shared bathrooms and in the kitchen. Great location, close to the harbour and the City centre. Very close to Polish grocery store.

Everything was fine. Staff were helpful. Some showers and washrooms don’t have hangers. Maybe installing those would be good idea.

Noisy if you're a light sleeper, depending on which room you get (ours had its window just next to the parking lot)

Location is very good, walking distance from everything in the center, parking just in front. Facilities were simple but clean, staff really nice and helpful. Shared a room of 4 bunkbeds, slept really well, felt secure enough but some of us were disturbed by the noise of people outside the room, talking loud during the night...
