Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsEverything was generally good overall. There is the usual noise/disturbance from other guests staying up late and talking loudly, but you can just go tell them to shut up after a certain time. The bathroom water taps do not fully close, so beware you can hear trickling water all night, so just go out and close them properly.
Checking in way smooth and easy. Hostel was clean and quiet. When I stayed, there were very few guests there. The kitchen was well equipped, dining area was spacious. There was also a rack for us to share/donate extra food so it did not go to waste, which was an excellent idea.

AustraliaA minor inconvenience was that you needed to leave the building and link up at the hotel to speak with staff. I still think it worked well.

FinlandThere is very little to no sound proofing, so as some guests next door were being loud, we couldnt help but be woken up by it.
The location was great and we were comfortable in our twin room. Staff at the hotel check in were super nice and helpful.

Germanyeverything as expected; It would have been good to have a clothes horse or sth similar to dry the wet and dirty clothes. Maybe there is, and I couldn't find it?
24/7 reception at Ísafjörður Hotel, check-in/check-out very easy, very friendly and helpful staff, well-equipped kitchen, stable WiFi, 2 bathrooms, 2 out of 3 nights I had the room for myself as they didn't place guests together as long as there were free beds. As the other guests were hikers, too, there were no issues with noise, etc. As with other isolated places with great nature, you'll meet many interesting people. Ísafjörður is rather a sleepy town, but nicely located and perfect to come to rest and to experience authentic Iceland. The surroundings are very exciting and apt for loads of outdoor activities. Especially Hornstrandir is very wild and untamed. Greenland feels close, too (2 days on a sailing boat).

GermanyOur room was too small for 4 people (2 bunk beds), it was extremely warm and stuffy, especially in the night with the room door closed. You can only open a tiny window, which lets barely any fresh air in.
Room and shared facilities were clean and looked newly renovated.

Singapore(1) The cracked window glass in Room 2 was allocated to us. For safety issues we rejected it and was given another room without question. (2) the duplicate key to the main door had difficulties opening. This was fixed immediately by the staff.

BelgiumIt is absolutely not clearly indicated on booking that there are no bed linnen. So I end up paying 162% of what was indicated. That is insane en not quite fair.
Overall very good. Only one big complaint.
