Nice modern hotel in centre of small town. Room was a fair size and a good view out. Bathroom was also very good. Restaurant on site offered a limited menu and was ok but not as good as the prices would suggest. Good choice for breakfast

United StatesStaff. Not welcoming, absolutely no customer service skills, making sure that you are such a great inconvenience for them. Enforcement of rules- for example, went to restaurant for dinner at 6:30pm as 1 person, with at least more than 20 tables open, they didn’t take me in because I didn’t have a reservation. I was told that making a reservation for dinner was a must and that was their policy and I didn’t OBEY their policy. I felt like I was in military barracks not in a $300 per night place. I stayed there 2 nights. The reception is in the restaurant, no signage for entrance of the hotel. The room had some flies, and the previous customer smashed them in the window and was never cleaned. The carpets in the hallways are filthy, stained and smelled really bad. The elevator is old and smells bad as well. I would be ok with everything, if the receptionist, bartender and waitresses hadn’t had the bad attitude. When I went to my car, saw a couple of waitresses drinking beer and smoking in the back door where seems to be a receiving area for the restaurant. Unfortunately, I have seen the similar attitudes from other servers hired from other countries especially from Eastern Europe, during summer time The local Icelandic people are very sweet, kind and helpful. They need to be mindful who they are hiring to represent their businesses and make sure they are trained and inspected.
Beds were clean and comfortable. Location os great. Breakfast had a great selection.
