Everything was great.

Amazing location. Super clean rooms. Kitchen though shared was fantastic and equipped with all the essentials. All the required cutlery was available and fabulous. In short we were at a Home away from home.

Very cozy place with a very good kitchen, where you can prepare your own meal. This guesthouse is located right in the center of the town, so all the shops were very close by. Our room was very clean and mattress was fine, not too soft neither too hard. Shared bathroom actually was not the only one, but plenty of them on the second floor and on the first floor, shower is clean and good, with different new towels on the shelves, clear sanitary rules. We don’t watch tv, but this one was equipped with a streaming platform, so most probably if you need to watch anything you will find something. Very helpful generous Icelanders working and running this place, we could get to know many interesting things about an island and town and got a guided ride to the lighthouse when the weather could be getting harsh. Thank you!

Great place in walkable distance to bonus and krona. Kitchen had everything we needed. Rooms were clean with comfy beds and very nice pillows. The owner came to greet us and was super nice too! Must recommend

That we didn’t get to stay longer

The property was fantastic. The owners had thought of everything, everywhere was clean, toiletries and hand towels to use. Great location and close to the harbour, the owners even met us upon arrival despite it being so late!

Could use a couple pillows per person, or just one big thick pillow. Two beds have a windowsill corner at them. So constant adjusting small flat pillow and could concuss yourself:) the house was a little drafty. It was horrible winds that day and every once in a while could feel the breeze come into the room. It’s ground level and could hear people walking by on the street. But it wasn’t often at least.

Nice to have a place for a family of five without the cost of two rooms in most places. The bathroom was fantastic! Great shower, heated floor, lots of space. Comfortable beds

Confusing where to park as the listing says free parking, but the parking spots across the street were 30 minute spots.

We would definitely stay here again. Our room slept our family of 5 and we had a very nice private bathroom. The location was perfect. The shared kitchen was an added perk. My husband was able to wake up early and make breakfast while the kids slept. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked and very clean. The host was very welcoming.

It was last minute spontaneous booking. Great owners and location . Facilities also good and quite nice kitchen area, clean. Quite well designed compact nice room ( just small)

Everything, top location in downtown Heimaey and next to some of the best restaurants in Iceland. My room was small but comfy and clean, with tv and Netflix . Excellent WiFi. kitchen was very well equipped, with a nice patio. The owner was very nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the lava guesthouse. A friendly host welcomed us and gave us many information for the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was in walking distance. We highly recommend to stay at the guesthouse to explore Heimaey.

Great location with easy parking after the ferry. Very welcome reception. Comfy and warm room. Shared bathroom was kept clean and didn't feel basic. Large kitchen with tea and coffee. All you need for a short stay on the island.
