Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaRooms were comfortable but fairly basic for a 4 star hotel. A little far out of town for bus tour pick ups, restaurants etc Also one of the main reasons I booked the hotel was because of the spa/pool. Was annoyed & disappointed to be told you had to pay to use it!
Friendly staff, lovely reception area, good restaurant although the buffet option was very expensive

NetherlandsWe found it a bit dishonest of the hotel receptionist to not tell us that breakfast was not included in our reservation when we asked about the breakfast time at check-in. Unknowingly, we had breakfast there and then we were surprised to have to pay a lot for a breakfast that you can have in a cafeteria outside the hotel for much less money.
It was comfortable.

The hotel is open 24/7. Check in and out was easy. Location was good for transport links and the centre of Rekjavik. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that aspect of the stay, but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

United KingdomYou back onto the domestic airport so can be quite noisy (unless you like plane spotting)! There’s also a lot of light pollution from the runway lights as well, though the blackout curtains are excellent. It is quite far out of town so if you are not driving it is either a 30 min walk, mostly uphill, or a bus that runs every 30 mins. The food is good but expensive, like much of Iceland!
The exterior hides a very sleek, clean and modern interior with huge amounts of natural light. The room was skinny but the bed comfortable and had all the required amenities, TV, desk, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, copious storage and an ensuite. The spa is phenomenal and I cannot recommend it enough. While the day rate is unfortunately the cost of a monthly gym membership, the main pool was amazing, the sauna and steam room refreshing and the geothermal pool a delight. You can rent swimming costumes should you not have brought one. They also offer discounts on dinner at their restaurant (1000ISK) for every day without housekeeping.

United Kingdomthe bathroom was a bit smaller than expected and a hook in the bathroom would be a great addition. Also the room could do with a USB point to charge phones etc.
The hotel was in a good location with easy access to the city centre and the main roads. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking on site, and although it is near the local airport we didn't hear any planes

NetherlandsIn the beginning we were put to a really old room, and we had a very weird noise. The moment we called reception we were transferred to a better room. If we were to stay in that room I would say definitely not a good value for money.

NetherlandsNothing comes to mind
Comfortable room and spacious enough, it is clean and has a nice view of the city. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We stayed the first night in Reykjavik here but it left such a great impression. This hotel is also one of the departure point for northern light tours, which you should consider if you haven't experienced it yet.

ItalyThe hotel is located 2-3 km away from the heart of Reykjavik. It is very convenient if you have a car (there is a big park in front of the hotel). The room was good and comfortable and the price was quite cheap considering the Icelandic standard. I recommend it.
