Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing our stay was great
This hotel is fab for staying in Reykjavík. It is a little out of the main town but a pleasant walk in but buses come and go all the time xx the property is clean with a great onsite restaurant . Rolls are a good size and serve they’re purpose. The tour buses also start at this hotel which is a plus as we could all sit together xx just a great place to stay

PolandThe hotel service has significantly deteriorated since last year. The staff seem to be offended by the presence of guests and everything seems to be a problem for them. Exception: gentleman from Latvia (reception desk).
The hotel is very comfortable and quiet despite its location close to the airport. Excellent bed and bedding. Diversified breakfast offer.

United StatesI think the hotel is satisfactory but does nothing well aside from their breakfast. The hotel itself is quite antiquated and the rooms were quite small. For the room size, location, and old feel to the hotel the value seems to be not commensurate. I think there are many better options around the Reykjavik area. But overall it was not a bad experience, just lacking compared to other places.
They have a great breakfast available on site if you pay for it. The parking is great and the location is close to downtown but without the bustle of a downtown location, making it easy to be in and out.

SwitzerlandComfortable, modern and clean hotel. Initially built many years ago to host passengers of Loftleidir airlines during their stop-over in Reykjavik on transatlantic flights. Very nice views of Reykjavik domestic airport. Close to Perlan.

United KingdomThe sauna was pretty cold and steam room broken. The dinner buffet was nice but far too expensive compared to other nicer meals we had in Iceland.
Clean hotel room. Paid extra for the spa and the flotation pool was cool. Right next to Reykjavík domestic airport which was convenient for us. Easy luggage storage.

IndiaNearest bus stop is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There was heavy rush for breakfast, however, the restaurant staff was filling up whatever was getting emptied. It would be more convenient for those who have a car as it’s not close to downtown.
Hotel is located adjacent to Reykjavik airport, walkable distance from BSI terminal and little away from downtown area. Though it’s near to the airport, there is no sound disturbance of the landings and take offs. Perlan Museum is close by. Check in was very easy with very courteous staff. We reached the hotel by 6 am and I had requested for an early check-in, which the hotel had agreed for a nominal fee. Room was overlooking the airport and we could see flight landings and take offs, however, was not affected by it. Room was spacious, neat and was equipped with TV, mini refrigerator, telephone, tea/coffee maker, iron box and free Wi-Fi. Bathroom had essential toiletries and a hair dryer. Breakfast was inclusive and the spread was really good with eggs, bacon and sausage, breads, Icelandic Skyr and yogurt, pastries, juices etc. There was heavy rush for breakfast, however, the restaurant staff was filling up whatever was getting emptied. Hotel lobby was interesting with some sculptures and though it’s an old property, it is well maintained. The reception staff provided all support in contacting my tour operator as I didn’t have a local number. They were patient enough to keep trying until they could contact the tour operator. Overall, it was a good stay and a nice property. Ideal for those who want a quiet stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

PolandThe hotel is at the airport making it a bit loud especially with morning flights starting up engines right next to the window. Remember to close your windows at night to get some good sleep! Also there are sockets only in 2 places in the room making it hard to charge all the devices, as other hotels usually provide at least 4 sockets.
Breakfast was amazing, great choice and very tasty! We also loved the do it yourself waffle station! The room was very big and comfortable with a very big bed. The location is also great, close to BSI, Reykiavik airport and car rentals. Definitely recommended!
