Absolutely beautiful hotel, extremely friendly staff and conveniently located!! We walked downtown from the hotel for dinner and then rode the bus back (there’s a bus stop visible from the hotel entrance). The staff were accommodating, kind and offered recommendations to us. I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel and saw that several reviews on multiple Icelandic hotels mentioned “small/gross bathrooms,” so I feel obligated to mention that we both thought Hotel Lotus’s bathroom was so beautiful I took photos to replicate it at home! Size is relative to the individual using the restroom, so it’s possible that someone of large stature would consider them “small,” however this is standard for European bathrooms and we found it to be entirely functional and highly aesthetic. The provided breakfast was also incredible (AND they had free chocolate cake all day!). Don’t hesitate!! Hotel Lotus is where we will stay if we ever get the chance to go back to Iceland!!

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. A lot of different breakfast options for everyone (bread and skyr were especially yummy). Coffee and cake were available all day. Rooms are tiny but very clean. I'd definitely recommend this cozy hotel. It's much nicer than big, anonymous hotels. Everyone there was helpful and kind.

The keypad entry on the front door and rooms is a bit confusing and finicky to operate after hours, took me several tries inputting my access code to get entry to the building which was a little stressful. Once you learn how to use the keypads properly, this isn't an issue, though. The view in my room was of a parking lot, but I didn't book this for the view.

Clean, modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. I had a car issue and one of the hotel staff helped direct me to a nearby location to get it looked into.

We brought external HDD for watching movies but the TV is not handled that.

First of all, I want to suprise my partner with some roses and sparkling wine and some decorations. The Hotel do everything for the romantic surprise gonna well. The hotel was very tidy. We can't see cleaning staff. Our room was very fascinating. We got an apartment instead of a Double Room for free. My partner was very happy for this. The check-in and check-out was very dynamic. You need only a Name that in your reservation and your Room number. :)

I loved the hotel, It was really great, but if I could I would move it a bit closer to the centre of town.

The staff are so friendly and really helpful. Martina was amazing! The rooms are decent size with tea, coffee and breakfast all served downstairs. Breakfast was simple but tasted so good, with an assortment of smoked fish, ham cheese, yoghurt, toast and cereal etc.

Super clean, comfortable and functional; place to stay. Great breakfast. Great staff; I had a issue with a noisy neighbour and it has very well handled (thank you).

Staff availability was lacking; no one was present at the reception during my check-in at 20:50 or check-out at 09:15. While not essential, it felt odd. Reception should have been open. The only staff member I encountered was at breakfast, but interaction was minimal, barely managing a muttered 'good morning.' In the hospitality industry, one expects more engagement than staff absorbed in their phones at a table.

Great bed, delicious breakfast. Suitable for a stopover.
