Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Being an old building modified for the purpose of being an inn, the layout is a bit odd, it is easy to bump your head going up and down the stairs (and I'm short), and it can feel a bit claustrophobic in the shared spaces. But these are just notes to temper one's expectations before they arrive. It was fine working around all of these things.
Nice location between destinations that became a destination all its own. The town is very cute, we had easy access to our horseback ride, and quite enjoyed the grocery store there (an odd thing to note, but it was nice).

The windows were a bit drafty, but it was ok to sleep with oropax.

You may wish to book the upstairs as the downstairs adjoins the communal areas. This was not a problem for us.
A fantastic base for exploring the area with great facilities, especially the kitchen.

If you don't like traffic sounds, don't pick the room next to street, otherwise just bring earplugs 🤠
Nicely located within the town and easily accessible, room was of good size and the shared common area was nice.

One bathroom, my fault for not checking this more closely. There are 2 toilets but only 1 shower. We knew we were next door to a bar which opened at 9pm. They were particularly rowdy that night According to our host, leaving noisily at 3am, but the noise didn't last long

I was living with the impression that the bar is open, what it was not. Local supermarket was closed without any obvious reason and with no sign on the door.
Nicely renovated, comfortable room with good bed and linen. Internet and TV on the room. Shared kitchen and bathroom were clean and well equipped. Despite of shared facilities all functioned well. Local bakery 200m down the road was of splendid quality and superior selection of different pastry.

The beds were a little to soft and after a few nights didn't feel that comfortable anymore. For the first two nights, it was great though.
Super easy to check in, even after hours. It was very clean and in the kitchen and bathroom was everything essential you might need. We also got a lot of information from the owners spread around the accomodation. But we didn't really see the owners that much, we had a lot of time alone (with the other guests) in the accomodation.

kinda tight spaces, hallways and roof of the bathroom. Wasn’t able to get hot water in the shower, could have been because of the very cold temperature outside.

When we have a shared bathroom some problems may exist, but in this case everything went smoothly

Well, the ceiling is slanted on the top floor and I couldn't stand upright in the bathroom, doing my business.
Checked in very late, but then again, I made very late reservation. Got a Text from the proprietor with the sequence to the key box. Super clean rooms, great bed and surprisingly fast Wi Fi.

Being next to a bar got a little loud at about 2am. We had to shut the windows. Although it didn't last too long and the noise was decreased significantly with closing the window.
Very central, I loved having the bar adjacent for a drink at the end of our travel day. The room was enormous and comfortable.
