Nice brand new hostel, stylish design. Friendly staff. Decent size of lockers, with a key. Every bed has a curtain. Complimentary usage of towels. Next door to hostel there is a superb chicken wings cafe.

The hostel was amazing. Everything is newly furnished, neat, clean. The location of the hostel is very good - close to all the main bus stops, as well as the airport bus station, and the city center can be reached in a few minutes. The staff is incredible. Clean, brand new interiors. Very friendly, communicative and kind staff. You feel like at home. Lot of common shared space to work, eat or rest. Perfectly working appliances, all brand new and super clean. Outstanding bathrooms - super clean and spacious. I would say like 4/5 star hotel

Clean, comfy bed, privacy curtain is perfect (whether it’s summertime or not), accommodating, friendly and helpful staff, kitchen has all the equipment needed (maybe add salt, pepper? just a suggestion), bathroom has shampoo/body wash, hair dryer and always clean (maybe can add more hooks and monitor whether needs refilling), free clean towel, reception is so aesthetic (all areas actually). Met good people here. Overall, perfect!!! Will definitely come back!!! 🤩

For a super new hostel, they really have it together here. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the space is exactly as advertised. It was easy to store luggage and get dinner recommendations. It's surprising that the cost of this place is similar to other hostels very close by, one of which I stayed at as well and it was not nearly as nice. The bathrooms are immaculate, the pod beds are comfortable, and the kitchen and lounge spaces are really comfortable for relaxing. Wifi worked great. It's an easy less than 15 minute walk to the BSI bus terminal, very close to tourist bus stop 11, and also very close to the public bus stops that go further downtown. I would absolutely choose to stay here again if I come back to Reykjavik.

Maybe it would be better if the women's & men's bedrooms/bathrooms are separated. This is not a big issue tho; it's still very comfortable!

The property is new and clean. I loved the quiet atmosphere, both inside the hostel and in the neighbourhood. The facilities are also super: nice shared kitchen with complete cooking utensils, comfortable common room, and clean bathrooms. Nordic Hostel is only 5 minutes away from bus stop #11 (this is one of the drop-off/pick-up points of the airport transfer bus) and 10 minutes away from the main street full of bars, cafes, and shops. Thumbs up to the staff, Gabriela, who had been very warm, friendly, and helpful during my stay there.

This place is opened very new. Location is amazing just behind the Hallgrímskirkja and walking distance to the center. Also you are very close to the bus stops where daily tours pick you up. I suggested that to visit local geothermal pool just behind the hostel. The beds were very comfortable.There is a socket for charging your electronic devices. Also blackout curtains are very logical for privacy and for the nights never go dark. Also you have a common kitchen for cooking. Federico is very good host. He answer all my questions about the country, he suggested local places and we talked lots of things. Overall my total ecperience was very good and I cant wait to visit again!!

I had a very pleasant four-day stay here. It is newly-opened, clean and comfortable, with a modern design and great attention to detail. The manager, Federico, was very friendly and gave me excellent recommendations for local dining and activities. I would especially like to thank Gabriela, the reception girl. She helped me out of an unpleasant thing, very warm, cheerful and chatty. She is definitely one of the reasons that I will choose to stay at Nordic Hostel again. Additionally, the bed is very comfortable and come with blackout curtains, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The kitchen is also very clean and well-equipped with all the necessary utensils and cookware. Highly recommend！

Everything was perfect.

Very nice hostel close to the center. Perfect for a short or even longer stay, because the common rooms are not to crowded and the beds a perfect to darken up for a good sleep also in the summer where its not getting dark outside. Amazing friendly service and support. Very nice designed common rooms to feel comfortable even when its raining outside.

I think the location is a bit far from the city center and at night it is a bit too quiet around. Also, I hope there can be at least female and male separate bathrooms and if there can be a female only room that will be great!

I was lucky to stay in this hostel which just opened two weeks ago. Everything is new. The room is very private and comfortable. What surprised me was that the room was very quiet all day long without any noise. The lobby is also very comfortable and cozy. There are many toilets and there is plenty of time and hot water for showering. The kitchen is not only clean but also equipped with all the kitchen utensils. I am also very grateful to a Chilean employee who is very enthusiastic and cheerful and helped us a lot.
