Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff could have been easier to locate. Put the clean room sign on the door and it was missed. Needed more towels

The entry keypad took a few tries to get used to. No one at the front desk during our stay; however, there were room service and kitchen staff available if we needed anything.
Very accessible, comfortable, and clean. Good breakfast and easy to find street parking. Room service and kitchen staff were always available if we needed anything.

The ventilation in the room was poor with no other intake of air than through open windows. In the night the window had to be open to let in air, and thus sounds from the street was somewhat disturbing. Also moist from the shower gathered on the window and the frame. Should be addressed to! Breakfast was a little plain; had appreciated more variety and for examples more fruit.
An overall nice, small and quiet hotel not far from the city center. Room was small but functional. Free parking space in front of or close to the hotel.

Matress was not thick/supportive enough for 80+ kg adult. Slept more or less on the hard frame below
Cozy hotel. Self check-in was smooth and loved the keyless access. Shower was fantastic, wish I had more time to spend there.

The room wasn’t particularly large but it was fine for us for a short stay. If we’d been staying in Reykjavik longer we would probably have looked for a slightly larger room.
Friendly helpful staff. The hotel reception isn’t staffed 24/7 so the hotel has slightly more of a feel of renting a mini apartment. You let yourself in with a key code at the main door and for your room. We liked this and it wasn’t a problem at all. Breakfast buffet is generous and a big plus. Our room was spotlessly clean and warm.

It smelled odd. Like it hadn't been aired out in a long time. Be mindful, the room was a bit small and the walk to town was 15 minutes.
The concept was cool, loved the glass entry. Enough parking. Overall good.

A bit far from the city centre. When we arrived there was still a full garbage bag in the room, but they took it when we came back in the evening so I think they just forgot it when cleaning the room.
Bed was comfortable, nice rain shower. Breakfast was good. Free parking right in front of the hotel. Self service check-in worked fine.

The rooms get very hot, even with the window open. And having had a room at the street side was very noisy, a closed window didnt help (and made it too hot).

Small shower. Same exact breakfast options every day (stayed for 7 days). WiFi is not the best and TV did not work in our room due to poor signal.
Convenient location (20-30 min from the main streets). Good price. Small room, but we mainly needed it for sleep. Has a small fridge and area for 1 suitcase/luggage. We were able to see Northern lights at a walking distance towards the shore almost every night (10 min walk). Has a bus stop right across-3-5 min walk.
