Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location is ok, but there is not much nearby such as restaurants or shops.
Rooms were lovely. Spacious, clean and bright. Mini kitchen in the room, so you could self cater if you wished. Breakfast was really good, huge selection of choices.

AustraliaToo hot in the room and no opportunity to cool it down with only one tiny window and no temperature controls. No tea or coffee cups or kettle in the room. Also no access from car park to lift (door is locked from inside).
Room was good size and quite comfortable. Good breakfast.

United StatesNot crazy about self-check-in, but it was okay. We arrived earlier than 3:00 p.m. and called the manager and he reset the code to let us in at 2 p.m.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a large room with a sofa and kitchenette. The free breakfast was excellent. It was more than a continental breakfast because they also served hot food. There was a parking garage in the basement with no additional fee. We could walk to several eateries. City sites were just a short drive away.

United StatesThe area near the hotel was not as nice as I expected. It was difficult to find a good place for a late evening dinner. Also, I didn't like that the early baggage drop wasn't the securest place. Our belongings were not touched, but we worried all day, needlessly, that something might be taken from the area.
The breakfast offered a nice selection of food and drinks. We had to leave early for a ride to the airport, but the breakfast area was up and running at 7:00 AM.

SwedenThe first room was on the 2nd floor towards a busy street. It was likely a known issue as earplugs were provided
Easy access. Great breakfast with skyr, oat meal, fresh bread with cheese and ham, scrambled eggs and bacon, waffles, fresh fruit and croissant or similar. I was pleased to get a quiet room after 2 nights. My total stay was 5 nights. The booking message function worked to get in touch with the hotel even though it lacked reception.

CanadaCheck-in wasn’t so smooth because I booked through booking.com the PIN code to self check in wasn’t emailed to me ahead of time.
The family room was a great size for four people and we appreciated the kitchenette being available in case we wanted to prepare our own food. The included breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel! Definitely worth the price. If you have a rental car and don’t mind not being right downtown, this is a great option.

AustriaThere are only 16 parking lots in the car park and I luckily got one of them but when I came there in den morning in order to drive to work another guest had parked his car outside the marked area such that I couldn't get out. I contacted hotel staff and there were really supportive and helpful.
The room was nice and clean, enough space also in the bathroon. Good breakfast but no orange juice. The reception staff (only reachable via phone or e-mail) is extremely helpful.

United StatesI had 2 different rooms over the course of a week (both twins, same price) & one was better than the other. The 1st room had a bunch of outlets, the 2nd only had one which wasn’t enough. In the first room the TV did not work properly & they never came to fix it as promised. TV worked great in the 2nd room. Two miles from city centre, but I knew that & chose this location for the price. I used rental scooters to get around.
The breakfast buffet was FANTASTIC, I think the best I’ve ever had. So much variety, so much tasty food. The online concierge is very quick to respond and very helpful. It’s a real person, not a bot & it saved me several times since there is no reception desk. Luggage storage is helpful, there are 2 big supermarkets within a 5 min walk. Bathrooms are modern and very nice. I like their environmental policies.

Ireland- The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working leaving a bad odour in whole room. I mentioned this to the reception (by email) and they promised to get this resolved asap. But during our 4 nights stay no one came to even have a look at the issue. It is understood that not every issue can be resolved in few days but a feedback and assurance to the customer is must needed. The reception staff failed on it.
