Some of the paintwork at the entrance doorway really needs redone. It is a shame because it creates an air of not caring. Our shower enclosure also needed an upgrade, and its doors didn't fully close.

I always book here when not staying with Icelandic family. The location is superb, the receptionists very helpful, the mattresses fabulous.

The breakfast buffet was mediocre and expensive for what you got.

Wonderful, small hotel, right in the center of Reykjavik, walking distance to everything! Small, but comfortable room and bathroom. We had a lovely two night stay here and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Breakfast was not great. It was ok, but not worth what we had to pay for it. Some variety, but the eggs and bacon were not good. There was salmon a couple of days, but not consistently. Didn't always replenish fruit and pastries.

The room was great, the staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful.

Location - excellent, in the heart of Reykjavik , 5 min walk from bus stop no 8 (pick up for tours) and yet quiet. Nice and professional staff. Clean, warm and cosy rooms with beautiful photography on the walls.

As always, needed more lights! The separate "lounge" area was barely lit at all, made it hard to read after sunset.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of all the restaurants and attractions we needed.

Good location. Room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and one of the best meals we had in Iceland. The staff were very friendly and the receptionist was extremely helpful with information on where we were heading next.

I would only ask that there be chairs on the balcony. THe balcony also like all the balconies in town do not have awnings so you cannot use them (without an umbrella) if it is raining which it seems to do alot in Septmber. Also took a while to figure out the shower. I had to go in and show my wife how it works. (I won't be a spoiler and leave it to you to figure out)

The location can't be beat. In the heart of Rekyavik with a great resutaunt (Snaps) right on the 1st floor. Beds were really comfortable. Large bathrom and great size room.

The best part of this hotel is the staff. They are incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful. I made several requests both before and after our stay, and they handled everything smoothly. Their responses were always quick and appropriate, which was a great help to us. We also loved the breakfast. While it didn’t have as many choices as a large hotel, the options were fresh, and they changed them little by little each day. The dining area was cozy as well.

It’s in the perfect location! Right in the middle of the downtown area - lots of bars and restaurants and the harbor very walkable! It’s very comfortable and had everything we needed! The transfer that the hotel arranged from the airport also was extremely convenient when we were jet lagged and not ready to figure out buses.

Nothing place is perfect and you can tell by this complaint. I wish they had plain black tea available. :)

It was a wonderful stay. The man at the desk was so helpful. There was some confusion at breakfast and the guy managing breakfast sprinted thinking I had left without paying, but it was just confusion and he handled it so appropriately. Hated he sprinted for no reason but he was very proper. The breakfast itself was wonderful. So glad I chose to eat there.

our suite was on the corner/ground floor and people could literally see in to all rooms from 2 sides. if you needed to have windows open, there was no screen so you could get out through the window!

very nice size 2 bedroom with a lot of lounge space for 4 people. very nice front desk staff. location perfect. allowed us to leave luggage earlier - but then our room opened up early! bonus. P3 parking 2 blocks away and free parking 3 or more blocks.
