We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location wasn’t what we expected, it wasn’t far from a busy road so you could hear the traffic (we left music on the whole time) and it wasn’t in a rural area so there was lots of light at night so maybe not perfect for trying to spot the northern lights.
Beautiful dome, immaculately decorated and a lovely hot tub to relax in. Equipped with everything you’ll need, super cosy and comfortable.

United KingdomThe wider grounds are not as high end as the domes themselves (adventure play park). However the domes are secluded from this area and we arrived at night and left early so setting was fine. Location is still quite central so bear that in mind.
Fantastic glamping pod and support for a really high end camping experience. With heaters on and fire going the temperature was comfortable within the pod and we really enjoyed our stay. Amazing facilities and hot tub and well furnished. Perfect honeymoon stay.

AustraliaThe spa wasn’t clean when I turned the jets on and had to get out immediately
Very private, romantic getaway for a couple or small family. Amazing experience to sleep with blind open to watch the northern lights, snow etc. worth the money for the experience.

United StatesThe only down side to our experience was that the hot tub was too cool for our liking. I would have preferred at least 38 C, couldn’t get it above 29.5 C.
Convenient to Reykjavik, and points north where we traveled. Comfortable, quaint space with a shared kitchen space onsite for cooking or reheating leftovers. Owner/manager was very responsive to emailed questions we had during our stay. North sky views so we could monitor aurora activity. Loved the wood stove and the heat it provided!

United StatesIt was difficult to regulate the temperature in the dome. The fireplace was a nice touch, but did not radiate a lot of heat. There is there was a small heater, but not large enough to heat the entire dome. The dome does not include a microwave, but does have a stove top range.
The dome was pretty cool. Nicely decorated and cozy. The whirlpool was nice for the teenagers. We did the northern lights one night.

United KingdomNothing 😊
It had everything we required, and it seemed like they had thought of everything and some nice touches. Very warm and cosy place to stay. Only a short drive from the centre of Reykjavik.

United StatesI found the communication slow, I had emailed about arranging a taxi and they needed more than 24 hours to sort this request, which I did provide enough time. I had to follow up in order to receive a response and I found alternative arrangements. If you’re looking to book this I would suggest renting a car and choosing to drop off at Reykjavík domestic airport (if you have a tour like us, or back to the intl airport), much easier and cheaper. Taxis are expensive. One thing which could compliment the accommodation are additional lights around the stairs near the toilets/showers and also near the step entry to the domes.
We loved the uniqueness of the property. It was cozy, very warm and overall we were happy with the amenities including the shared shower. We enjoyed that we could check in early.

AustraliaThe shower facility. There was only one shower with no shower curtain or door covering the shower itself, so at any point any of the other dome guests could have used their key to get in while you were showering.
The dome was so lovely and warm from the moment I stepped it. Looked exactly like the pictures.

United KingdomThe location is rather odd. Looks like a derelict car park and the road in has awful pot holes. We were staying in one of more private domes and one evening when I went out with my daughter there was a couple in their car outside naked! Not ideal but the kind of place that looks a bit deserted so had attracted a nighttime pit stop! Only other things were very small - could do with some towel hooks in bathroom, a tea towel in the kitchenette, a mat for the shower and a curtain over the door at the back as it was a bit exposed even though technically nobody should be back there. Also it’s a slight shame the walkway to the other dome wasn’t thought through a little more as it ran right in front of where we slept and could easily have been moved a little further along the road at the bottom with its own steps. The walkway around our dome also didn’t seem quite completed as was fake grass strips as a pathway. Does look like some work is going on there so maybe some improvements are coming but overall these things didn’t negatively impact our stay too much and are just suggestions.
Absolutely loved the Dome. Was warm, comfortable and a really unique experience. Loved the hot tub and we even saw the Northern Lights from the bed! WiFi also really reliable. Good comms with owner and easy to find also fairly close to the national parks which is where we drove to see a fantastic display of the Northern Lights. Would definitely return

United KingdomMaybe some wardrobe space? Although I am aware space is limited and there were some pegs available to hand your coats if needed. Some grit on the paths to the domes could have helped as it was a little bit slippery.
Located around a 15 minute drive or 45 minute bus journey from central Reykjavik. We were only here for one night at the end of our honeymoon but it really exceeded our expectations. After looking at some of the negative reviews we thought we'd be inundated with spiders, in a derelict area and freeze as it was in January. However the dome was delightfully warm from the second we arrived and the hot tub was set to 40 degrees. The macaroons and prosecco was a nice touch. The lock boxes for the keys was easy to locate and open. We were blessed with the only clear sky we had the entire 9 day trip. The extra heaters, fire, blankets and hot water bottles provided would have kept you cosy even deep into the minuses. The guide booklet provided was extensive in its information and the communal kitchen was well equipped. The road leading to the domes is untarmacked (as is normal in lots of Iceland) but was easy to navigate with our suitcases. As its in the Greater Reykjavik area you can't expect a totally remote feel but the clear space in front of our dome towards the bay gave a more isolated feel. Although there is a main road parallel, once rush hour is over the traffic falls significantly and cannot be heard from the dome. The views of the hills in the pink sunset from the hot tub was spectacular. A lovely end to our honeymoon! Would use again

The dome was super clean and warm. Music was playing on the radio when we arrived and this was so inviting. It was a VERY windy night and we kept warm inside.
