the walls were very very thin. We had the room at the main door and every time someone opened the door it crashed against our wall and it was very, very loud. There was no possibility to somehow minimise the sound. It wakes you up if you are sleeping.

The place seems a little lost and left to itself at first glance. Despite this, the state of the premises whether the room, the kitchen or the bathroom was impeccable. We cannot remove from this Guesthouse the fact that it is ideally located in relation to any light source at night because it gave us our first opportunity to see the northern lights along the road below. Hands down worst place we stayed at. I think it should be a lot more clear that it is a hostel, as the listing doesn’t really shows it. Bathrooms,toilets and kitchen is shared. The kitchen was stocked up and easy to use but all the pots and pan were very warn and the protective coating was chipping away which is very unhealthy to be used. There was no where to dry your clothes as the radiators are electric so if it rained and you are wet good luck. It was equivalent of a bad uni accommodation. Expensive and very far from anything. If you had a bit more to spend I would absolutely recommend you give this place a miss. We got a two bedroom and hot tub cottage for only 30 pound more so I really regret this booking. The only saving grace was the cleanliness and that it was quiet, but the noise really depends on your luck of what kind of people are staying when you are.

It's the first time ever that I have to go personally 3km far away to get the code to open the key box. Furthermore, you have to do that at the reception of a guesthouse that at the same time is also a restaurant with only one person available to listen to you. Price/quality is very very low: the room is so small (only one bed and a little desk) with no place to put any clothes. Doors are very loudly, I woke every time in the morning when someone went out and my sleep is very deep. The reason is also too many people in too little space. Some pots and pans were very old and dirty in the shared kitchen. One shower was not working properly and the water was only super hot, or few times totally cold (impossible to take a shower there). If you want to have the highest price compared to similar places in Iceland, only because of the area, you should provide at least a similar (good) service like the others and not only speculate on the price. Very disappointing.

1 double bed, 2 bedside tables (only 1 with lamp), absolutely no space around the bed to open any baggage, 2 crutches for wardrobe. Quite old shared bathroom. Why do we have to go 4 km further just to receive an handwritten key code on a paper?

Had some trouble with the temperature controls of one of the showers (ran only piping hot or freezing cold), switched to another and was totally fine

The bungalow is situated near a waterfall and the view is great. It has everything you need to coock. 10 min from diamond beach and the glaciar lagoon.
