Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My check-in was delayed by more than 2.5 hours. Despite repeatedly messaging and calling the staff, I only received generic responses like "We will inform you when it is ready." Additionally, the elevator was initially out of service, forcing me to carry two bags up four flights of stairs. Overall, my experience was very disappointing.
The room was clean, facilities were good.

Location is superb,it was very clean everything was excellent.Very happy with it and would definitely stay here again.The shower is first class too.

we was not use the brekfast because was not included in the price what was little bit disspointed because price for the room was expensive , the room has a tv but in the tv was no have apps like netflix or youtube just icelandic channels very bad :/ the room was not enough clean ( in the fridge we find older food from the quest I quess who was before us , and in the shower was many hair what was disscousted

No free room service included, regardless of stay length. This means your coffee pods & tea bags aren't replaced. Glasses and towels aren't changed, etc. Finding fresh towels on the other side of the hotel is cumbersome. They require you to click a link upon checking out. I don't want to be bothered with that, sorry. No hotel parking. Noisy street/bad sound isolation.
Great location, right near the main street, near nice bars & venues. Comfortable stay.

The only ver small problem was the light in the room, the main chandelier in the room wasn’t workin.. I didn’t comply because I’ve solved it with the others lamps, but I’m sure if I would contact them they would havs fixed the problem right away!
Very clean, great location to visit the city, big rooms, comfortable beds.

Bathroom could have more than one hanger for towels, but if you are only staying a couple of nights that's not really a problem. Tea kettle would be a perfect edition.
Self check in, no interaction with other guests or staff, location is perfect in the center, if you need to park overnight there is a lot of free street parking (free from 21:00 - 9:00) very close by (1-2 min walk), clean and cozy room. It's a very decent 3* hotel.

I ignored in my 9 stars that there was a live music place that is directly below my room and it was so loud that I couldn’t even have a phone call or watch TV. Generally that’s a no-go. But as the music was amazing and it ended before the night started, I consider it as a nice experience, But generally assuming that noise could be an issue also due to the other bars and the light window insulation.
it’s a very clean and organised digital hotel. Very comfortable and perfectly located.

Rooms are a bit smaller, but was totally fine for two people and they have bigger rooms.

External key pad didn't work on the first night so I was left outside for a few minutes until we got through to reception via phone. In fairness, problem was sorted very quickly. Minor issue.
Location was perfect for me. Hotel was clean and room was nice. Bed was comfortable also. Staff were quick to reply to messages and lots of info was provided before I arrived.

It is not good for parking. There is no parking lot.
It’s convenient as it located at the central of the town. And it doesn’t need to check in with complicated progress. What you only need to do is to go directly to the room you booked the open the door with the code you received on your phone

The check-in time was supposed to be 14:00. The room wasn't ready by that time. We managed to check in almost an hour after that.
It was expensive for me to find a place to stay in Reykjavik for four adults, but I didn't want to compromise on our comfort either. I found Midtown, which is a great deal and won't cut corners on our stay.

Location might be a challenge if you have lots of luggage as it is not near transportation. Loud at night in the summers with the tourists partying.
Easy walking to the sights of downtown. Clean and comfy room. Great shower and nice breeze from the window.

Only one bathroom towel/room even if two guests are in the room. As other review says, no free parking available but this is commune to all central Reykjavík. Check in online was at 2pm but when we enquired to see it we could access earlier they said 3pm. Main door to access the building was not locked, no code to use elevator… so everyone could enter… Tea is available in the room but no kettle…not sure how you can do it! They said to ask the restaurant when it’s open…
Nice location very central, easy check in without a reception (all via the app). Room was spacious. Possibility to leave luggage in a code-locked room (all guests can access with a code).

Not werry easily to find the entrance and the pub is werry close so it makes alot of noise late evenings and some during the night..... I had some issues whit my code for my door but I assume that was onetime incident 👏 No staff at locarion/reception so need to call if needing assistance... Also unsure if the room har air-condition atheist not possible to adjusting it.
The appartments was amazing big room whit an amazing bathroom... Good location on the hotel in the middle of the tourist street close to most tings in town.
