Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

lovely spa. Well appointed rooms with very nice coffee and tea service which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was fabulous. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

My poor rating has to do with the property. It was inexpensive for Iceland but still... The room looked and felt like a cheap roadside hotel in the US. Dated and sad. The balcony had rusty floors, cigarette butts, and looked unsafe. The bed was very uncomfortable. When drying myself off of after a shower, the towel literally tore up. The restaurant looked dirty. I'm sorry for the poor rating because the hotel people were nice but skip it.
Staff was polite. Good location.

Nothing really. But if I would have to "nit-pick" which I don´t like. They had a bathtub with Jacuzzi option but they had turn the feature off because of little use(understandable)
Location : in the middle of Selfoss, we got the river view which was awesome. Room : Spacious and well equipped,bed was good, mini fridge, kettle....the basic things. Breakfast : good variety of selection. Hot & cold and continental. Restaurant : We did not dine at the restaurant but from the look of the menu it looked good. Staff : 100% on their game.

In general the room was too expensive for what you get. It wasn"t well maintained, the paint outside fell off the doors were very old. The room was small. There wasn"t enough space to put two suitcases. The washbassin was small. If you wash your face the water fell on the floor. We missed bedsidetables. Breakfast was very good but expensive. M

A decaf coffee option for breakfast would have been very much appreciated.
The riverside location was stunning. Loved the trail nearby. Breakfast was delicious.

Nothing it was lush
Size of the room was large, shower was good (smelt like egg but they all do out there). Great location we loved the food court and the icecream shop a stones throw away! Breakfast was amazing too

We didnt get a double bed, but two small beds pushed together The mattressess are way too soft for a healthy sleep, it felt like sleeping on my grandmas 30yr old mattress that is U-shaped. I managed to sleep about 3 hours:( Worst sleep of my life, we got better beds in cheap hostels. I have never experienced this at a hotel tbh. Bathroom is so tiny you dont have anywhere to put your basics. If you like to sleep with your window open, prepare for lots of noise, but that can be solved by some ear plugs.
Hotel staff were very pleasant, rooms were clean and tidy.

The room was very small and plain. No pictures etc Main issue was they had a live band playing in an area down from the room until midnight Night staff tried to help but were unable to do so. Morning person was rude when I complained. Said they host conferences, receptions, parties etc as they are also an event center and basically said that’s just the way it is I found the entire experience as unacceptable
The staff were great in trying to help. However they were unable to solve the problem

Well i booked king sized room and expected at least king or queen size single bed but instead i got a double small beds put together which i was dissapointed with but i do underatand there were only 2 rooms left.

Only stayed one short overnight so cannot give exceptional review as we were only there to sleep five hours; was clean, which is important; had a good breakfast included; rooms were large which was good - slept 3 easily on two twins and a pullout (pullout was tough to sleep on); good location with a gas, shops, and restaurants walkable
