I think that this property met all our expectations.

The location of the property was outstanding! We arrived late in the afternoon with blowing snow and cold. We woke up to a sunny day with a fantastic view of Mt. Kirkjufell through our windows. The village of Grundarfjordur is small but lovely. Cleanliness and comfort were features of the property; the kitchen was well equipped.

Worth changing the extractor fan for something that extracts externally as the cooking smells carry throughout the guesthouse and can make the kitchen smoky. Not ideal if you are Trying to eat, relax etc

The 2-bedroom apartment located at the ground floor and was quite, clean and comfortable. Even though the kitchenette in the apartment looks small, but it was well-equipped for us to make meals. The location was great to visit the nearby famous places. Overall, our family enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend this guesthouse.

Worth every freakin penny. Affordable plus, If you come with a group of friends or a family. You can cook and enjoy your breakfast and dinner in a huge shared kitchen.

Could have a little more personality but for a one night stay, absolutely no issues.

Incredible location, definitely the selling point of this hostel. The building and corridors are a little clinical, rooms are basic but good and the kitchen is really well stocked with an incredible view from the dining area.

A bit sad there was no elevator - I have trouble walking so the double flight of stairs was tough to manage.

It’s not something disliked, but the shoes were to be taken off downstairs. The rooms are upstairs. There is no elevator to take luggage upstairs

The location is perfect. It’s a very clean property. The communal areas were well kept. Their communication was on time. All in all, it was a perfect stay for us.

We love our room’s coziness. It was wonderful having the mountain and sea view with a cool breeze in the morning. We enjoyed preparing our meals in the well equipped kitchen and the dining area was spacious and comfortable. Parking was convenient - just in front of the entrance. The staff, Isabella was very helpful and friendly.

Some improvements that would not be difficult: Shower needs a lip around it to keep the water where it belongs or supply a floor squeegee to dry the floor more quickly. 5 ppl showering..a lot of wet floor despite being careful. Also would suggest adding a mirror in a commons area or in the bedrooms: we were 5 ppl and had to share a bathroom mirror. We didn't have enough hot water for 5 ppl to shower. I don't know if this was because I pulled the "card" near the door to turn off all the lights as we left? Or if we shared a water heater?

Location is perfect! View is amazing! Also a perfect little kitchenette for our needs..nice details! Indoor access felt much more secure. It was also quiet; we had neighbors in the rental but never heard them. Black out curtains were wonderful. Personnel met us and showed us to the apartment, very responsive and were willing to work with us on our arrival time. :)
