There is no elevator and that’s the only thing lacking at this place.

I would give a 5 star just because of the location of it. Very close to the center and have AMAZING views of Kirkjufell mountain. There is a shoe rack at the entrance, always had ample space. The rooms were clean and the necessary amenities were provided. Has a kitchen as well and I saw everyone mentioned how busy it was. We had the kitchen all to ourselves in the morning. Also the kitchen has the best views.

Nothing! It was perfect!

Location is everything with this property... it is right on the waterfront, overlooking Kirkjufell! We stayed in one of the apartments which was very clean, with plenty of space and comfortable beds. We had everything we needed for self catering. The blackout curtains were perfect for a summer stay. Grundarfjordur is a great place to stay to explore the area and is small enough to walk to the supermarket and restaurants.

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. The Guesthouse was easy to reach and was at a womderful, calm location. And what views around! The little town was charming too. The town was close to nice sights of the peninsula. The rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable and modern. The common kitchen had all that was needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed after a day exploring the Snaefellsness Peninsula. Perfect location to see Kirkjufell Mountain before continuing on to the Westfjords. Room was basic but contained everything we needed for a one-night stay.

Neighbourhood a little industrial and lacking in aesthetics but fabulous view into the fjord as long as you don’t look down from the 2nd floor.

The only issue we had is that we had booked one night in a regular room and then one night separately in a sea view room. There was no way to leave the luggage at the guesthouse, so we had to put everything back in our car and then bring it up again in the evening.

The location is outstanding with the view of Kirkjufell mountain and perfect starting point for the Peninsula loop. The rooms were comfortable and the common kitchen is a nice feature. We met the Icelandic owner, who was very nice and interesting to talk to. Definitely book the sea view rooms.

Best value in Iceland! Simple rooms- very clean, very organized. We stayed 2 nights for which I mistakenly booked 2 different rooms. Proprietors kindly prepared our 2nd room before we checked out of first room, thereby allowing us to just move our bags. We very much appreciated their consideration. Also, great location and good water pressure in shower!

We had asked for two rooms next to each other nearly 3 months before our visit. (We have a 3 year old and 13 year old). They did not have the rooms next to each other upon arrival but there was only 1 room separating us. It wasn't a big deal though and we made it work. I think they had a pool but never found it.

The rooms were comfortable and we had a nice view of the ocean and mountains. The shower was great! They had a nice kitchen though we didn't use it. The staff was very helpful.

I wish they have elevator! The stairs to the second floor is long. It was a challenge for us who has two big heavy luggage.

The location is great. Easy to find and very close to freeway. The kitchen is big, can accommodate many guests. You can really cook there if you need to.
