Like everything in Iceland, you can expect to pay more. This place was relatively cheap, but you're still paying more than you would in Croatia or Ukraine (where I lived previously). Can't blame Start for that, but it's worth mentioning.

When I read that it was a hostel, I was scared that my wife and son would be sharing a room with strangers. Had this been the case, I would have preferred to stay in the airport for the night, but my wife insisted. Fortunately, I was wrong. We had a private room with a private bathroom(I understand that some of the rooms share a bathroom). It was perfect. I felt that the environment was both safe and private. The rooms were very clean and it was just a very nice place stay in-between flights. The free breakfast was also a rather good addition since understand not all the hotels have such an option.

Room was nice and spacious for 3 persons. Good functionality with opportunity to plug in phone charger and have your necessities close by your bed with a small shelf close by the bed. Good with curtains to make the room dark for sleep Nice bedlinen for the duvets Easy to keep overview of luggage and stuff by the way the room was organised

A bit far to walk to Keflavik town about 1 hour 10 (which I did) as I wanted to see the town. There may be a bus that goes there. (There's a supermarket closer, 48 mins walk away in another town). Taxi to airport expensive for me K4500 & it's only a 8-10 minute journey. I was in a 4 bed dorm so people coming & going early or late, but to be expected as near the airport.

Staff helpful & friendly. Clean & tidy & bedroom nicely decorated. Great having a well equipped communal kitchen to make lunch or evening meal. Communal lounge area with TV also good. Very good buffet breakfast which is also available for early flights. Restaurant & mini market easy walk away. Staff kindly booked taxi for me to airport. A nice place to stay.

Although it is right beside the airport it is still necessary to take a taxi to access the terminal. A shuttle for all these little hotels would be valuable.

great price close to the airport. I loved my stay super comfortable and very clean great breakfast and they have reliable taxis that can take you to and from you for a good price. they are also flexible with check out. I will definitely return next time

It's a hostel close to the airport with two types of rooms, very friendly and convenient. Our flight was delayed so it was easy to go see some sights close to the hotel.

Great location for early access to the Blue Lagoon, Grindavik volcano fields and Keflavik airport - in the middle of an industrial estate, so no scenic expectations.

I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm beginning of May which I was the only guest in. The bed was comfy, the shared shower and toilet spacious and clean, the breakfast was good for a nice start in the day and the staff super friendly. It was perfect located for picking up the rental car at 4x4 Icerental which is located 2km from the hostel.

Well I felt like for a hostel hotel, the price was on the high side, especially when you’re sharing a room with 3 others. And it’s in a location where there isn’t much around at all.

The property was great. It was clean, friendly staff and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was a nice spread. I had to taxi to the property as the next bus wasnt for another 1.5 hours and it cost me $50 Canadian for a 10 Minute taxi trip. Crazy! Anyway the reception helped me get another person so we can share the taxi back to the airport the next am.

The foot traffic of non guest .. lot of people just walking into and out of the hotel that wa not staying .. made me feel unsafe ..

We got stuck in iceland overnight for a layover and the staff here was able to have a room ready for us in under 20 minutes!! They have been very helpful with calling us taxis and helping us out!!
