Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

They have a hand wash soap that is used for shampoo and shower gel as well. But we aren’t very fussy about shampoo quality at this point so we’re happy with what we got.
Very convenient location as well as parking right in front. Comfy room.

It doesn’t have a restaurant, you need to go to another hotel about 10 mins away if you would like to have some lunch/dinner
Close to the airport, but only reachable by taxi which is expensive. The staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast is served from very early.

Wasn't too sure about the electrics in the room - some of the sockets didn't seem to work.
Spacious room, 2 seperate sleeping rooms in family room, lots of storage and kitchen sink/units. Very close to the airport. Lots of choice at breakfast. Guest kitchen which was very useful if you need to self cater.

Rooms were comfortable, the layout was much better than the usual bunk bed layout, and the mattresses were good quality. Finally, the breakfast was phenomenal, with both sweet and savoury options. This is the best hostel breakfast I've ever had! Location: Very close to the airport and the blue lagoon, but I recommend you rent a car because it's not off the main road.

It was very very windy and there are air vents in the wall in wardrobe and bathroom, no fit in the wardrobe area which meant that we just heard the wind whistling through the vent all night and got no sleep, maybe put doors on the wardrobe to dampen the noise.
More like a hotel than hostel. Very quiet, great location to get to airport early in the morning.

Very helpfull and nice staff. I felt welcomed and like home from the first step. The room was perfectly clean and bed very comfortable. Good toilet and shower facilities. Very clean. Breakfast was much above my expectations

Very close to the airport and blue lagoon. I booked here for the first night of my arrival and headed to the lagoon at night. Really kind staff members, the room was clean, bathrooms private and spacious, and the breakfast bar was the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hostel. Really an awesome way to start my trip! Plenty of parking available.

It was very close to the car rental place that we were collecting our vehicle from after a late evening flight, so it was nice to not have to drive far in the dark whilst tired. Easy friendly check in Room fairly basic, but more than adequate and comfortable to spend the night. Nice breakfast included.
