Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The weather that night... Nothing for the stay.
Nice little cottage to spend a night. Too bad the sky was cloudy and no chance for the Northern Light.

We were in cabin 1 and the toilet seat closed on your back every time you sat on it - an easy fix for them to do as got more annoying as the week went on! Mattress extremely tired and worn - we ended up rolling into each other with where it had been slept on most!
The location and scenery around the cabin was beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Cabin has everything you need and was a great base for us. We saw northern lights from the cabin on 2 nights!

Very clean, good wifi and perfectly placed out in the countryside and dark to see the northern lights! The owner was friendly and key collection was easy. The house was nice and warm even with below zero temperatures outside.

Lovely cottage, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen. Nice and very responsive host. Almost no light pollution, which granted us one of the best aurora nights in Iceland!

Excellent cabin. Albeit small, it is a very cozy cabin with all amenities needed , including all cooking utensils and cutlery. The location is amazing. It’s remote near a lake surrounded by mountains.

Sofa bed could've been more comfy if using it to sleep.
Beautiful cabin.. can turn it into a sauna with the heating and insulation! Washing machine was the winner after a week and a half around the ring road

The cottage is perfect, we liked every single thing about it. The bed is extremely comfortable, everything is super clean and full equip. The owner is also a very kind person, we had a delay in our flight and we could arrive later with no pressure.

Super cabin exceeding all the expectations! Nice, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything what could be needed (even coffee capsules). Very comfortable, the interior was created with an eye for the practical details. The view is spectacular. We would love to return.

The bed was comfortable and a good size but barely fit into the bedroom - there was no room on either side of the bed so you had to climb off the bottom of the bed to get out. Obviously no small table on either side of the bed for your phone or anything else. The bathroom was small but that's expected. The toilet seat cover had an annoying habit of not staying up.
This was a lovely location, on a hillside with a great view across the valley. Nice front porch with a comfortable place to sit. The kitchen had everything you would want and the couch in the living room was very comfortable. The WiFi was excellent and there were sufficient outlets for charging devices. A great place to relax a bit while traveling the country. There was an unexpected clothes washer that we did not use.

A charming cottage equipped with all necessary things, even a coffee machine with coffee capsules . Beautiful location next to the tiny waterfall. Singing Redwings. Comfortable beds in the bedroom and a convertible sofa in the living room. Clean bathroom with a shower. The cabin is small but really cosy. We wished we could stay there longer. Also, the only accommodation from our tour around Iceland which provided a washing machine!

This isn’t against the property , it was something we noticed at both places we have stayed so far . Neither supplied upper sheets for the bed just comforters , Would have been nice to have a lighter option than the comforter.
